Their scarcity, . beautiful

Keep filling out coupons!
-Dear Editor, .
I want to thank the people
of Ontario for their tremen-
dous response to our "Fight
the Site" campaign against
the 7 percent sales tax on
low-priced meals.
Since Jane 14 when the tax
,took effect, we've received
more than 150,000 coupons
from the public supporting
our opposition to this unfair
•tax. Many people took the
time to write letters explain- -
ing their frustration with
growing taxation and
government spending.
• Workers, students and
travellers told us that they
eat in cafeterias, snack bars
and budget restaurants
because they can't go home
•for every meal. Other people
told us that restaurant meals
were a small treat for 'their
families, their' grand-
children or themselves.
Everyone agreed with our
• position that these basic
meals shouldn't be taxed
anymore than groceries in
supermarkets. -
"Fight the Bite" has given
the people of Ontario an op-
• portunity to tell government
that they're fed up with the
growing tax burden. And the
overtvhehning support froth
the public has encouraged
our association to continue to
light for a tax exemption on
. restaurant meals.
• Keep filling out those pro -
teat .coupOns. When' the

Dear Editor,
• I would like to take this op-
portunity to compliment the
town on their Bert and Ernie
Kiddy Club.
The program was. very
well ' organized and, the
outings were really well
planned. The girls who ran
the program did a fantastic
job. Their patience and abili-
ty to include everyone into
their activities was terrific.
Keep up thegood work and
I hope it continues in years to
come.
