(photo by Kris Svela STANLEY DAWSON Funeral services were OBITUARIES held last Tuesday forStanley Dawson Ball of Hullett Township who passed away suddenly following his daughter, Brenda's wedding dinner last Saturday evening at the Blyth Commie ity Centre. He was the only son of the late Amos Ball and Hattie Dawson and was born December 20, 1917 in Hullett Township. He attended S.S. No. '9 Hullett and was a fanner until recently he was employed by Craig Saw Mill Auburn. tie served in the Army Service Corps, 1940-1945 in the front lines in Germany, Holland and France. On September 21st, 1946, he married Ethel Dexter of the Blyth district at Constance United .Church. Following their marriage they took up farming on the Ball homestead and have con- tinued to live there in Hullett Township. He was a member of Knox United Church wherehe Was an elder and has held several other positions. He was a member of the Army Service Corps, a member of the Canadian Order of Foresters and the chairman of the Trustee Board of Ball's Bell family hpicnic The Bell family held its annual picnic at Holmesville school yard Sunday, July 25.
