The 1982-83 tile drainage
allocation has been confirm-
ed at $108,000, however, the
Ministry of Agriculture and
Food, requires that the need
for the total allocation be
confirmed to them by
December 1, 1982 and if all of
the funds are not allocated
by then, the surplus funds
will be distributed to other
areas in, need of additional
funds.
George Parsons appeared
to speak to council about the
condition of the roads within
Benmiller Heights subdivi-
sion and particularly as to
the winter maintenance of
the roads. It was explained
to Mr. Parsons that under
the terms of the subdivision
agreement, Peter Ivey,
de.veloper, is to bring the in-
ternal road system up to
township standards and to
pave them by June, 1985,
before the township will take
the roads over and maintain
them. Because of their pre-
sent condition with manhole
covers above the
gravel base as much as 4 - 6
inches, it is not possible to
provide any maintenance
with township road equip-
ment and until this condition
has been corrected, no
maintenance will be provid-
ed.
Wayne Parker spoke to
council about a calf which he
owned having died at • a
rented barn on Lot 2, Conces-
sion 8 E.D. Mr. Parker felt
that ttie calf had been chased
by a dog or dogs, causing its
death. Council referred. to
the report of Donald Sower
by, township stock valuer,
and a written report receiv-
ed from Dr. Wm: A.
Schilthuis, D.V.M., on an
autopsy carried oiit On the
-dead- anithai :and -as both
these reports were in-
CorichisiVe about Caute
death, they wished to seek
further information before
making a decision on liabili-
ty.
