Jumping out to an early 2-0 lead in the

Strength of a two ball; one strike hotnerurk
by Dizei Jehnstem Cokes tied the a;lioreat

line drive solo shot to right field and
caught Ed 'Brank running in, instead of
back. -
The score remained unchanged until the
top of the seventh when the Cobras
unleashed their bats and IIIIIMPeci one

lead. A strong' comeback bid by the
Restaurant team fell short as the Cobras
preserved a 8-6 victory:
One finarnote on the above gtune. The
Cobras, SOW witha miltimuM of
piayeiwwere ntelfeeeeijo Keith Allen's
unselfish devotion to the team. Keith
played over half the game with a badly
bruised shin and what turned out to bein
broken hand. Had he pulled himself out,

Cobras surely woilld have lost: I guess
Keith and the Cobras simply wanted the
game more than we do!
It apprears as though the tA' teams are
paying more attention to the other out;
comes then they are to their own. One
night later, the Club Grill Qldtimers went
down to defeat to Local 1863. Fortunately
for Don Masse and the boys, detail.s of the
game are not available.
Other games around the league saw Ken
Duncan's rapidly Improving Coyotes
Mercy Cedar Lodge by a score of 154, -
In another near upset, the Port .Albert
Bulldogs came back from a 7-0 disad-

took five izmings to dispose fo the
Renegades by a score of 25-1 and Carlow -

Garb & Gear 'on a two game winning
streak defeated Bluewater 84 and ham-

picked up another win over the Elevator

Oldtimers, although losing -orie game,
picked up two wins Ude week; edging
-Meneset 8-5 and drilling the Tickers 18-9.
Oldtimers tied' Cedar Lodge 34 and the.
Bears buried 1863 by a score of 234.
. At the league level this week, $10 fines
were issued to Ceder Lodge, Bulldogs,
Champco, Tickers and Load 1863 for
failing to -submit completed score sheets
for both teams. Several protests were
dealt with at an =native mmllang an June

the team reps. _
As we approach the end of the Inter -
divisional play round, watch for the
composite standings. This' will feature an
overall league ranking, including average
runs scored for and against, based on each
teams performance against the other 16
teams in the league. This could form a
basis by which next year's divisional
structure is based.
If ybur team had not already submitted
an entry form for the GMSL tournament,
