4H leaders to attend
proect instruction course

attended the first day of the
instruction course for the
next Project iq w. ch will
be "More Ou .ving".
Herd at West '. wanosh Con-
servation Area, where they
learned how to make "kites
out of garbage bags",
"plaster paris animal
tracks" and many other
things.
The next day for the in-
stniction course will be July
10 in Kinburn and one of the
specials will be learning how
to cook different foods and
desserts over an open fire. It
all sounds interesting and
the leaders are quite in-
terested and feel it will be a
• worthwhile project.
' They expect to start 4-H•
• classes about September 15
and all taking the course
• have to be 12 years of .age or
older as of May 1. Anyone in-
terested inthis course that
has not been m this group
please contact the leaders

The Christian Farmers
Federation of Ontario does
not share the enthusiasm of
others who look to eipOrts as
a solution to many of On-
tario's agricultural dif-
ficulties, according to a
statement adopted by the
Federatrbn's Provincial
Board • at its regular June.

The Federation urges that

couraged for commodities in
which Ontario has gained in-
ternal stability.

far more important oppor-
tunity, if we seek growth for
Ontario's agriculture," the
statement says.,

the caution about exports.

The second regular nieet-
ing off the Dungannon 4-H
Calf Club was held June 1.5 at
the hog operation off Wayne
Millian. The meeting was
opened with the 4-H pledge.
, roll–call was taken and the
minutes from the last meet- '
ing wert read. Results from
the • Judging Competition in
Champ were handed back.
President Jeff Feigen then
intr,duced the host for the ,
meeting, Wayne Millian.
Mr. Million . described his
operation '_to club members
and kindl, answered any
questiong that were asked.
After a tour of the barn,
lessons were handed out and
plans for upcoming events
were discussed. The meeting
was then adjourned.
