ship. Mr. Faffish, formerly
of Lucknow, now makes his,
home with Jack and Mary.
Approximately 34 people
were in attendance and
enjoyed an afternoon of
visiting topped by a
smorgasbord supper com-
plete with birthday cake and
ice cream. Mr. Farrish's
daughter, Winnie Walters of
Goderich and his three sons,

Club hosts
visitors
For its June session, the
Goderich Garden Club
diversified by holding a pot
luck luncheon. Due to in-
clement weather June 16 the
meeting was held in the
recreation hall at Meneset
Park.
The Goderich Garden Club
welcomed 42 members of the
Historical and Horticultural
Societies of Watford,
Ontario, who were all given
favours of shaker salt.
President Frances Worsen
and a number of the garden
club members toured the
town noting many points of
historical significance such
as the gaol, museum, salt
mine and harobur.
After_thanking_us for our
hospitality, the Watford
guests returned home but
extended an open invitation
to the Goderich club to visit
Watford and view what they
have to offer such as peanuts
and tobacco.
The Goderich Garden Club
is plamiing a bus trip to
Douglas Point in September
and all members are
reminded of the flower show
in Courthouse Park July, 22
through 24.
CB Club
needs new
members
Only six regular members
including executive were
present when the Circle City
CB Club held its last regular
meeting of the current year
on June 13 in the board room
of the Recreation Depart-
ment.
This poor turnout has the
executive wondering if the
club will remain in
existence. It is a certainty
that the club requires more
active members to continue
as a service organization.
The secretary's report was
read by Ftiice Krispies,
adopted by Mr. Rocky and
seconded by Modular 4. The
treasurer's report was read
by Modular 4, adopted by
,Graveyarder and seconded
by Rice Krispies.
The club received a letter
and membership card from
the Alexandra Marine and
General Hospital of
Goderich Corporation,
thanking it for the donation
to the Intensive Care Unit.
The letter informed the club
that its president is an ex-
officip member of the cor-
poration for the current
year.
The draw for a Texas
Mickey will be held on
Labour Day. Details on
tickets will be made
available to membership 14
a future date.
The next regular meeting
will be held on September 12,
1982. If at all possible, make
it a point to attend. Mark it
on a eVendar; tie a string
around your finger; tell
someone you trust to remind
you.
The Circle City CB Club is
a community -oriented
service club. If you have a
citizen's band radio or are
simply interested in par-
ticipating in a worthwhile
cause, you are invited to
attend the next regular
meeting. Rice Krispies will
be the Fun Fine Chairman at
that time. „
