Kingsbridge native dies in G oderich
MRS. GERTRUDE.
DRENNAN
Mrs. Gertrude Drennan of
Goderich died in Alexandra
Marine and General Hospital
on Thursday, June 17 at the
age of 73.
She was born in
Kingsbridge. on May 5, 1909
to Edward and Mary
(Sullivan) Foley.
She graduated from St.
Joseph's Hospital, School of
Nursing, in London in 1934",
She was a resident of Ash-
field Township until moving
to Goderich in 1975.

sisters, Miss Margaret
Foley, Mrs. Edward (Mary)
Johnston and Mrs. James
(Rita) Johnston, all of
Goderich; one brother,
Matthew Foley of
Kingsbridge; and four
grandchildren, Mrs. Peter
(Sandra Lynn) Bennett,
Mark Robinson and Debra
and Bartley Drennan.
A funeral mass was held at
St. Peter's Roman Catholic
Church on Saturday, June 19
at 11 a.m. The Reverend
Father A.F. Loebach of-
ficiated.
Prayers were said at
McCallum Funeral Home on
Friday evening, June 18.
JOHN RUTLEDGE
John Rutledge of Toronto
died at hisresidence on
Monday, June 7 at the age of
57.
He was born in Seaforth on
April 30, 1925 to Peter and
Ann (Speir) Rutledge of
Brussels.
He is survived by two
sisters, Mrs. Joe (Rhea)
Mansor of Toledo, Ohio and
Mrs. Vic (Wilda) Lutman of
Loch Sheldrake, New York;
and one brother, Ross of
Goderich.
He was predeceased by
one sister, Mrs. Verna
Sparks.
A funeral service was held
at McCallum Funeral Home
in Goderich on Saturday,
June 19 at 2 p.m. The
Reverend G.L. Royal of-
ficiated.
Interment was in Brussels
Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Joe
Mansor, Mac Sparks, Ross
Sparks, Telford Bissett, Pat
Kennedy and Harold Duck-
worth.

Worthy Matron, Gail Currie (far right) recently presented
a vacuum cleaner and mixer to the Adult Rehabilitation
Centre (ARC) workshop on Keays Street. Money raised by„
the Worthy Matrons of the Blue Water Chapter OES,
through a draw on a Royal Doulton figurine, was used to
also buy ceramic molds and tea towels for the workshop.

for $501.
The committee recently
purchased -a new emergency
van for the fire department
and solicited bids on the old
van. The " corilmittee
received a bid of $625 'efom a
township resident and the
$501 bid from the Bayfield
