Seaforth
taxes up
10 per cent
SEAFORTH - Taxpayers in
Seaforth will be paying 10.83
per cent more this year.
The new rates mean that
an average taxpayer with an
assessment of $3,000 will see
the municipaltax rate jump
by $34, from $315 to $349.
Municipal expenitures and
municipal revenues are
more than double .the
comparable figures in last
year's budget mainly
because of the community
centres project Seaforth and
the surrounding
municipalities have un-
dertaken.
There are no funds set
aside for the purchase or
financing of a new landfill
site in council's budget,
although engineeringfees
have been budgeted for.
Nothing has been earmarked
for a new fire hall, this
project has been delayed.
Huronview
residents
entertained
Sunday was a super day as
Huronview residents and
visitors filled the auditorium
to capacity for morning wor-
ship with Rev. Wittich con-
ducting. Under the guidance
of Mrs. Doug Norman, about
50 people from Holrnesville

Sunday School teachers,

primary choir, attractive in
white gowns, sang a lovely
selection directed by Jackie
Norman. The anthem by the
junior choir directed by
Hugh Lobb was much en-
joyed. Jackie Norman and
Brenda Harris favored with
a duet and Frank Bissett ac-
companied at the piano. At
\.tlte close of the service,
.flowers and book marks
which had been made by the
children, were given to the
ladies and men.
In the evening, a hymn
sing was held in the chapel
with Mr. Dick Roorda in

paniment.
