spring flowers for the
wedding of David Michael
VanDer Ende and -Doris
Elizabeth Zavitz on Satur-
day, April 17 at 7 p.m.
The Reverend Robert J.
Crocker officiated at the
donble ring ceremony. Music
included Minuet, Gauotte
from Otho, Andante in F,
Jesu-Joy of Man's Desiring,
Triunpet Tune in D,Hynui to
Joy and Wedding March.
The groom is the Son of Mr.
and Mrs. Arie VanDer Ende
of Goderich and the bride is
the daughter of Christine
Smale of Goderich and
Herbert Zavitz of Thedford.
The bride was given in
marriage by her grand-
• father, Peter Burley of
Goderich. She wore a long
white dress with a medium
length train, a high half -
rounded neckline and pearls
and lace on the bodice. A
short veil with matchin• g lace
fry the dress completed the
enserible.
The bride carried a
bouquet of white and red
roses with stephanotis and
fern. -
Maid of honor was Lynne
McCallum of Goderick She
wore a long deep red dress
with a cape and carried a
• bouquet of White daisies,
• blue bachelor buttons and
pink apple blossoms with
lace and greenery.
Bridesmaids were Valerie
Zavitz, Cindy Smale, Helen
Huff and Kari Parks, all of
Goderich. They wore long
deep pink dresses with capes
and carried bouquets with
white daisies, pink roses and
pink apple blossoms with
lace and greenery.
Flower girl was Anne
Marie Zavitz of Tedford. She
wore a long white dress and
carried a basket of white
daisies, pink apple blossoms
and blue bachelor buttons.
Groomsman was Robert
VanDer Ende of Courtright.
Guests were ushered into the
church by Allen VanDer
Ende, Jim Wilkin, Barry
VanDer Ende and Mike
Burley.
Ringbearer was Jeff Parks
of Goderich.
Following the wedding
ceremony, a reception was
held at Sanford Valley Hall.
The bride's mother
greeted guests wearing a
long light mauve colored
dress with a,corsage of three
pink roses with greenery.
The groom's mother
assisted wearing a long light
green dress with purple
jacket and corsage.
Bluewater tours enlighten public about handicapped

Even in this enlightened
age, there is still a lot of fear
and misconception about the
•mentally retarded and
developmentally han-
dicapped.
To dispel such fear and
misconception, the
Bluewater Centre for the
Developmentally Han-
clicapped gives tours and
trvs to inform the public
about its work with the
residents there.
The most recent tour took
place last Wednesday when
the Women's Day Out group
was guided through the
facility by Pat Wheeler, co-
ordinator of Volunteer
Services. Prior to their tour,
the ladies, were asked to
