The gulls have been busy feeding on a.small fish called Alewives. They are a forage food living in the deep cold waters and are eaten by salmon and the Rainbow trout. Usually at this season of the year, they move into the warmer water to spawn and die. It's during this process that the gulls use them as food. Conservation Officer Roy Bellinger reports that the fish ladder at Port Albert has now been closed until the fall. Rainbow ,tagged last year were 859. So far this year, 809 have been tagged. Bellinger expects to tag many more this year than last year. Church News The ,Reverend Robert Crocker conducted the ser- vice at Christ Anglican Chur- ch, Port Albert on Sunday afternoon.
