Guest of the evening was zone chairman Lion Ray Meldrum, from Kincardine. A new member Art Lefrebre was inducted into the club. He was sponsored by Lion .. Donald Haines. The new slate of officer§ for next year was,Installed by Lion 'Ray Meldrum. Re- cent projects included, the • rummage sale and bake sale and the Lion's booth at the Clinton Klompen Feest. Spring concert Knox United Church presented a Spring concert last Sunday 'evening with a good audience of parents and friends: Mrs. .Rick Hawley • welcomed all and gave a short history. of the choir of . two years. She was assisted by Mrs. Gordon Gross, Mfrs. Barry' :Millian. and Mrs. Allan Webster in the training of the choir and they all were accompanists. The . 22. member Junior choir• sang with, Lana Lawrence.. taking the solo_ The dialogue part was taken by Lana and Angela WilliamAnother timber,was sung with Leona,Cunningharntali • ingthesolo. • . • Play was the.theme of the • second.part with the solo taken by Beth Hawley • and the dialogue taken by Anita • Grass and Beth Hawley. Two little sunbonnet girls Julie Glenn and Glynis -Marie Young sang a duet in this song with .comments made by Alison Chamney. • In another song comments were , made by Janice Webster, .Jodi .Webster and Kerry Bakker..The Baseball game song was actively car- .ried out with the solo taken by Kevin Webster. The part of Lucy was played. by Kerry Bakker, Snoopy by Janice Webster and Red Head by Susan Dobie. Others taking part were Kevin Webster, Stuart Bakker, Ian Andrews and Bryan Gross. Imaginary Friends was the theme for the third part. Leslie Lawrence and Amy Hawley sang the duet and Susan Dobie and Leslie Lawrence did the dialogue. Another was sung with Lori Armstrong and Leslie Lawrence doing comments. All members joined in song with Glynis Marie Young and Julie Glenn doing the • dialogue and was concluded with Donna Lynn Armstrong and Leona Cunningham do- ing the comments. Mrs. Ross Andrews and her UCW unit catered to the dinner. Mrs, Bev Blair welcomed all and everyone joined in a contest on sandwiches. Mrs. Joan Leibold was the win- ner. The Brownie pack `directed by Mrs. Bev Blair, Mrs. Sheron Stadelmann and M"rs. Linda Hawley presented a modern day ver- sion of the Brownie work. Girl Guides leader, Mrs. Brenda McDonald was in- troduced as the Blyth Guider. Shewelcomed all on behalf of the Girl Guides. •Angela Cotton thanked everyone for coming and also the .leaders for their time • and : patience with everyone. Mrs. Bev Blair introduced the commissioner , Mrs. Joyce Irwin of Clinton: She officiated for the Fly up ceremony of Beth Hawley, Marilyn and Kim Mayberry. They were presented by Christina Roulston, Elaine Poore and Angela Cotton. Commissioner Irwin pinned on their wings.
