Each class neted out a fairy tale and Snow White was played by Elizabeth Hall. Brookside students win at track and field events On May 19 Brookside held their annual track and field day. The winners are as follows: senior girls -Kelly Markham, runner -up -Chris Gibson; senior boys -Wayne Bos, runner -up -Leroy Dougherty; intermediate girls -Shelly Good, runners- up -Laurie Pentland and Nancy Hunter; intermediate boys -Scott Hackett, runner- up -Murray Curran; junior girls -Donna Maynard, runners•up-Stephanie Durnin and Leisa Rau; junior boys -Scott Gibson, runner -up -Kirk- Livingston; midget girls -Julie Pentland, runner -up -Melissa Logtenberg; midget boys- Philip Luedemann, runner- up -Joey -Curran; primary girls -Sheila Hymers, runner- uptTanya Hodges; and primary boys -Joel Wright and Duane Durnin tied for first. It appears now that more will be tagged this year than In 1981, Ernie and Bob Scrupon from London went fishing this week in the Nine Mile River. Ernie reports he caught three nice black bass and brother Bob caught one. Grand Bend and Andy Thompson, a friend off the Lahn family for many years. Norval and Ruth Anderson of Toronto opened their cottage at 'River's Bend' on the Nine Mile River at Port Albert this week. The Andersons have been 'vacationing in Port Albert since 1967. rcuth is the daughter of Agnes and the late Bert Foster of Shep- pardton and Norval was a former resident of Goderich. Having roots in this area, they look forward each Spring to their first visit to Port Albert. Sam and Nancy Cowan have returned to their home in the village after vacationing in Florida. On their way home, they visited the Worlds Fair in Knoxville. Visiting with the Cowans over the holiday weekend were their three sons and families, Clyde from Stouffville, Keith from Mississauga and Brent from London. Blake Smith, band master of the Laketown Band, reports that the band par- ticipated in two events over the weekend.
