About 1:30 yesterday
morning the fire alarm
sounded for the burning of
Dietrich & Son's Flour Mill,
which a few minutes after
the alarm, was burning
brightly and with a fier-
ceness that showed that the
fire had been going for some
time. And that is likely, for a
resident of Colborne says he
saw the fire through the
mill's windows at one
o'clock, when he rose to give
his sick child a drink.
Dietrich & Son's loss will _--.
probably be between $13,000
and;15,000 that is for grain,
flour, machinery and the
building.
Messrs. Currie, Lamont,
Willed and Engineer Pat,
terson of the County Council
last week met a committee
of the Perth Council at the
Sauble and the two com-
mittees examined the bridge
that crosses the boundary
between Huron and Mid-

one, and the united com-
mittee agreed that it was
dangerous, and too old to be
repaired, and appointed
Messrs. Patterson of Huron
and Talbot of Perth, to
prepare plans and
specifications and advertise
them.
