Pot Pourri
Pot Pourri, a new gift store opened
April 1 on the Square.
Owned and operated by Sylvia Gozzard
of Bayfield the store specializes in
handmade candy and gifts.
Ron Pennington, Ed McMahon and Parks Committee
chairman John Doherty were on hand Wednesday to see a
new wooden stock mounted on the anchor situated in a little
park between Lighthouse and Cobourg Streets. The anchor
came off the old Barge Scotia and was given to the town in
1922. The anchor's stock 'rotted off several years ago and
Mr. Pennington requested that town council have it
replaced for the sake of historical accuracy. Mr. McMahon
spent the winter making the new stock out of cedar. (Photo
