"From a Flicker to a

the 85th anniversary of the
• Women's Institute, depicting
the growth and
achievements of • the
organization with a modest
beginning in 1897 which
has nine million members
around the world. The'

when 1,200 delegates, from
Ontario will hear the world

Mrs. Janet Hiepleh, the

June; projects were pro-
moted; resolutions dealt
with and reports heard.
Mrs. Bernice Noblitt of Ot.

A special day is planned

Many to think of the world
conference coming to B.C. in
June 1983. Plans are being
made for pre and post con-

a warm welcome to our
overseas visitors. Special
events at the conference in-
clude an interfaith service,
Canada Day celebrations,
special speakers, music,
choirs, and a panorama of
Canadian culture and
history with Bobby Curtola

Next week, over 555
delegates from all of Ontario
will attend an officers' con-
ference at Waterloo Univer-

leadership, be informed of
the purpose, work and ac-

directors will know the many
projects locally and
worldwide and with this
knowledge, they will be bet-
