plan
season
This beautiful weather has
once again turned our
thoughts to lawn bowling.
The men have been busy
with the usual spring clean-
up and it will soon be time
for the lawn bowlers to shake
off the winter blues. The
opening date has yet to be
decided but will probably be
May 24, weather permitting.
The ladies' executive held
a meeting at the home of
May Richardson, Meneset
Park and plans were made
to hold the spring pot -luck
supper and general meeting
at the Meneset Park hall,
rvIonday ;Ilia y 'r7 aic6:36-p .m
Plans are going ahead for
a giant flea market to be
held on Saturday, May 29
from 9 adn. to 3 p.m., the
location being the lawn bowl-
ing club on Picton Street, on
the upper greens. All pro-
ceeds will go to help meet the
expenses of the club. There
will be something for
everyone and a cordial in-
vitation is extended to the
public to come and make this
effort a real success. In case
of ram, it will be held on the
following Saturday, June 5.
Anyone interested in the
game of lawn bowls can get
m "touch with Mrs. Fred
Richardson at 524-9137 or
Harry Williams at 524-7796.
Try it and you will like it.
