Local couple celebr
Mr. and. Mrs. William. L.
Craig were guests of honour
last Saturday afternoon on
the occasion of their 40th
wedding . anniversary. A
family dinner was held at the
Bedford. Hotel.
Present were Mr. and Mrs.
Allan Craig, Auburn; Mr.
and Mrs. Brian Craig,
Guelph; Mr. and Mrs.
Murray Mackey of Parkhill;
Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Craig,
Auburn; Mr. and Mrs.
Melvin Craig, Bluevale;
Mrs. Wilma Brawley,
Auburn; and a special guest
was Mrs. Craig's father, Mr.
Dawson Mackey, Parkhill.
Congratulations were
extended to the bride and
groom of 40 years by their
sons, Allan and Brian.

Over 30 little guests sur-
prised their good friend,
Nelson Moulden last.
Saturday morning by
visiting him with a birthday
cake. Many candles were lit
for his birthday. Several
gifts, cards and flowers were
given to Nelson.

Auburn 2, 4-11 Clutitkield its
breadmakers' party on April
29. The theme was
traditional breads from
around the world. Each
member represented a
different country by wearing
an appropriate costume.
Mothera and fathers were
both invited. The parents
played a " game while the
good was prepared and set
out buffet style. Six different
breads, each from a dif-
ferent country, were
featured at the meal.

Mrs. Wilma Brawley
arrived back in the village
recently after spending the
winter months in Florida.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry
Arthur entertained members
of their family in honour of
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Keller's
55th wedding anniversary.

St. Thomas have returned
home after several weeks
visiting their son, Elliott and
Mrs. Lapp.
Mr. and Mrs. Oliver
Anderson and Mr. and Mrs.
Greg Park visited on the
weekend with the former's
son William Anderson at
Newmarket.
Mrs. Albert McFarlane is
a patient in Clinton Public
Hospital.
Auburn 2, 4-11 club held its
seventh meeting at the home
of Linda and Debbie Cun-
ningham. Roll call was
answered by each naming
the most practical bread to
make for her family. All
played a 4-H game renewing
the knowledge they had
learned in the last five. clubs.
Baptism
Leanne Elizabeth Haggitt,
infant daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Gordon Haggitt of
Blyth was baptized Sunday,
April 25 at Donnybrook
United Church by Mr. Rick
Hawley. Chad and Michael
Haggitt helped their parents
entertain for dinner
following the service.

St. Mark's ACW
St. Mark's Anglican
Church Women met for their
April meeting last week at
the home of Mrs. Jim
Schneider. Mrs. Donald
Cartwright opened the
devotional period. The
meditation from the Living
Message was given by Mrs.
Tom Haggitt, Mrs. William
Letherland and Mrs. Jim
Schneider.
The business was con-
ducted by president Mrs.
Donald Cartwright. Lunch
was served by Mrs.
Schneider.
Walkerburn Club
The April meeting of the
Walkerburn Club was held
on April 27 at the home of
Mrs. Elliott Lapp.
Mrs. Lloyd Penfound
presided over the meeting.
The minutes of the March
meeting were accepted as
read by the secretary, Mrs.
Marian Hunking. The
financial statement was
given by the treasurer, Mrs.
Ted Hunking.
The roll call was answered
by telling how you met your
husband. Afterwards nine
members and two visitors
rnade a donation to the foster
child.
The draw prize won by
Mrs. Roy Daer had been
donated by Mrs. Marian
Hunking.
Plans were made for the
May meeting tb be held at
the home of Mrs. Ted
Hunking on May 25. Each
member is to invite a guest
and there will be a plant sale.
The program will be in the
charge of Mrs. Stewart Ball
and Mrs. Marian Hunking.
The lunch committee will be
Mrs. Ronald Gross and Mrs.
Jun Dickson.
Progressive euchre and
cribbage were played. Lunch
was served by Mrs. Stewart
Ball, Mrs. Marian Hunking
and Mrs. Elliott Lapp.
Poetry competitions were held at St. Josephs School Kingsbridge last week and even the
pre-schoolers got involved. Participants included Connie Nicholson, Elizabeth Dalton and
