hotel keepers in Clinton for

every case was established
and punished as follows:

Since gasoline rationing
went into effect on April 1,
sales at Goderich service
stations have dropped one-
third, an inquiry made
yesterday revealed.
The County of Huron is
shortly to establish a milk
pasteurization plant at the
County Home near Clinton
and a new building is to be
erected in which to house it.
"I am trusting to my
memory, but I feel sure. that
the arrival of the Ontadoc at
Goderich with a cargo of
grain on Sunday, April 5 was
the earliest on record," said
Mr. G.L. Parsons to the
Signal -Star this week.
Harry J. Boyle, who for the
past year has been on the
staff of the Stratford Beacon -

building inspector. He is

collector. A by-law, con-
firming his appointment was
passed Friday night by
council.
Council has approved the
addition of a fifth full-time
man to the local police force.
There is still no trace of
burglars who took a safe
containing $1,397 in cash and
valuables from the Simp-
sons -Sears order office on
the Square in Goderich •
sometime Sunday night.
Goderich has the. biggest
beach at the harbor that it
has had for many years -due,
of course, to the water level ,
of the Great Lakes being
down about two < feet this
. spring.
With the arrival of a
family of three Wednesday
afternoon, the Hungarian
refugee population 'of
Goderich reached a total of

First Friday night open for
Goderich merchants was

Steel Bantams ended a 16 -
year championship drought
winning the all -Ontario
Bantam BB Championship
with a thrilling 4-2 victory
over Stouffville in the fourth
game played in Goderich
Tuesday night.
Steve Blaney of the
Kleinfelt Group made it
quite clear to Goderich Town
Council Monday night that
the grandstand at the local
raceway was "deficient in
many areas" and that there
is no way the Ontario Racing
Commission would grant a
licence to hold races this
season unless the grand-
stand is replaced or
repaired.
Bluewater Centre
celebrated one year of
