IV + competitive sports and recreational activities available. It's time we got fit. In co-operation with the Lake Huron Zone Recreation Association and Doug Lafreniere, there will be a fitness week in. Goderich June 13-19. But before fit- ' nes s, there must be awareness. Fitness week will kick ..off with an awareness day at the arena that will highlight all the groups in the area in- volved in some form of physical activity. Such groups as soccer clubs, karate clubs, badminton t• clubs, dance fit members and . a host of other groups will demonstrate their ac- tivity . and invite par- ticipation. The day will serve to let people know what's going on in the community and to inspire them to be more active.. R.U. Fit is inviting everyone to attend the session in the arena, find out the different types of activity that ,are available in. the comunity and participate for fitness sake. Fitness week cofuld spark a whole new'set of organized activity aimed at getting people involved. Maybe a liesure cycling group will be formed ora walk to work day will be held in town. The idea of fitness week is to get people involved, get them interested in fitness, even on a small scale and create and explore new avenues that encourage fitness.
