Memorial Hall on Devember

The election of officers
took place and they are as
follows: president, Bob
Poirell; first vicepresident,
Rob Rodgers; secretaiy,
Mrs. Keith Rodger;
treasurer, Michael Andrew;
trail co-ordinator, Bill
Emmy and delegates to
Lake Huron Trail Associa-
tion, Bill Empey and Keith
Rodger.
Ken Wilson of the Colborne
Snowmobile Club spoke on
OW necessity 'of a club and
how one should be operated.
He was introduced by Bob
Powell.
It was decided to have a
poker rally on January 24
with an alternate date of
January 3L
Plans are being made by
the club members to build a
groomer for the trairs.
A abistmas party is being
planned for December 20 in
the Auburn Hall at 2 p.m.
and Santa Claus is also com-
ing.
The next meeting will be
held January 3 when plans
will be made for trail rides
and cook -outs.
The executive wishes
everyone to have a safe and
happy, accident -free year.

The Auburn Library will
be dosed for holidays from
December 19 until January
9.

Knox United Church Choir
and Donnybrook: United
Church Choir joined together
last Sunday to present a
Chrishnas musical cantata
"God in a Star" directed by
the minister, Richard
Hawley and the organist,
Mrs. Florence Wightman.
The jimoir choir, wider the
direction of Mrs. Richard
Hawley and with Mit, Barry
Milian as pianist., presented
"Mary, Had ,a Child" and
"Advent Candle".
Mrs. Oliver Anderson was
the narrator for the
Chrisbnas Cantata which
was directed by Ricahrd

Following the service, the
Auburn Yoimg People's
group served a lunch of soup
and Sandwiches.
Trustees Meet
The December meeting of
the Auburn Trustee Board
was held last Saturday even-
ing in the town hall. Warner
Andrews, chairman, preild-
ed over the meeting.
The minutes " were ac-
cepted as read by the village
clerk, Mrs. Ross Dobie.
The trustees will attend
the WestWawanosh nieeting
on January 5 to further
discuss the renovations to
the town hall- and library
room.
The caretaker, Mrs.
Lillian Letherland,
presented her bill for
caretaking and this was
voted to be paid.
Bud Chainney was present
to renew the contract with
Chainney Sanitation for gar-
bage disposal for the Village
of Auburn and the contract
was signed at $8,600 for the
1982 year. Dumping for
January to April will take
place at the Hallett disposal
site; May and Jwie at the
East Wawanosh site and Ju-
ly to December at the West
Wawanosh site.

Hall Board
The Auburn Community
Memorial Hall Board met
last Wednesday evening in
the hall to finish up some of
the business before the end
of the year. Chairman Tom
Cwiningliam was in charge.
The mhiutes of the last
meeting were accepted as
read by the secretary, Mrs.
Donald Haines.
Warner Andrews discuss-

last fall around the hall.

and that the oil furnace has
been fixed and is sunning
good now.
Steve Campbell and Bob
Worse,' attended on behalf of
the Auburn and District
Lions Club and asked Per-
mission to hook on to, the hall
water supply to flood an out-
door rink for the children
near the hall on the athletic
field. This permisskm was
granted and if weather is
suitable, the children of the
community will enjoy out-
door skating this winter.
It was announced that
Robertson had been cow
traded to remove the snow
from the hall this winter.
The Salvation Army of Goderich is supporting many needy familia; in the strew this
