Goderich Laketown Band recently purchased a badly needed tuba for *2,000 thanks to a

Band purchases tuba
The Goderich Laketown
Band recently purchased a
badly needed tuba for $2,000
thanks to a generous
donataion from the Goderich
Lions Club.
The band is also indebted
to the many people who sup-
ported its garage sale this
past summer as . well as to
those who purchased raffle
tickets on the afghan at the
Sunday evening cdncerts.
The new tuba, which has
been assigned to band
member Phil Telfer, will be
put to good use when the
band entertains the
residents of Huronview on
Monday evening, December
7. Another concert will
follow on Monday,
December 14 at 7:30 p.m. at
the Suncoast Mall in
Goderich. An offering will be
received at the latter concert
with all proceeds to assist
the needy at Christmas.
