Class activities
The Grade 4, 5 and 6 pupils
recently went to the com-
munity centre in Blyth to see
Jan Rubes explain and sing
about music. He is the host of
the TV show, "Guess
What?"
Mr. Scratch's anll Mr. Mc-
Connell's grade 5 and 6
classes were visited by the
Gideons. Lawrence
McKnight presented all the
students with their very own
personal New Testaments.
Mr. Currie's class made a
survey of plants and animals
in a Fencerow Community.
They used a Hoop Study and
Surveyor's Line Method to
help calculate what plants
were the most common.
They found a lot of different
seeds and discussed dif-
ferent ways they might
spread.
Volleyball
Miss Braid has picked the
senior girls all-star
volleyball team. Mr. Dyck is
coaching the senior boys all-
star team. The tournament
is going to -be held on
November 21 at the high
school.
Cross Country
At the Regional Cr oss-
Country Meet, Robertson
placed first in midget boys,
first in junior boys and first
in senior girls. Three first
place winners were Jeff
Boyce, Scott Garrow and
Karen Pollock.
