Mrnm, love that meat
PLAIN AND pRETTY PORK
1 large onion
1 tbsp. butter
Salt and pepper •
,A2 cup wine
1 cup water
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 apple
Slices of leftover pork or beef
In frying pan, brown onions in salt and butter. Add cup
of water. Add tbsp. of cornstarch. Thicken gravy and let
simmer five minutes, Add '/2 cup of favourite red wine.
Slice apple and cut centre core out. Place in onion wine
sauce. Slice pork or beef thinly and lay in sauce. Let
simmer.
This will simmer until whatever time your husband
arrives home from work and will only taste better. Serves
2.

ROUND STEAK AND GRAVY
2 - 21/2 Ib. rbund steak
1-11/2 oz. pkg. onion soup mix
1/4 cup water
1-10'/2 oz. can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1.can mushrooms, optional.
Cut steak into serving size pieces. Place in . small
roasting pan. Add dry onion soup mix, water, mushroom
soup and mushrooms. Sprinkle with parsley.
Cover and cook on low setting (250-300) for 11/2 - 2 hours
until done.
Excellent in crock pot on low setting 6-8 hours, stirring
once towards end.
Excellent and easy.

STEAK SUPPER IN FOIL
11/21b. chuck steak, 1 -inch thick
1 can (101/4 oz.) cream of mushroom soup
1 envelope onion soup mix
3 medium carrots •
2 stalks celery, cut into 2 -inch pieces
3 medium potatoes, pared and quartered
1 soup can water •
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. •
Place 2 layers of aluminum foil in baking pan; place
meat on foil.
Stir together mushroom soup and onion soup (dry);
spread on meat. Top meat with vegetables. Sprinkle .
water on vegetables.
Fold foil over and seal securely. Make sure it is secure,
with no openings or it will burn. Cook 21/2 hours or until
tender.
This makes a very quick and delicious supper, and only.
takes minutes to prepare.

HAWAIIAN MEAT BALLS
2 lb. ground beef or pork
2egg s
1/4 cup chopped onion
'/2 tsp. garlic sak
Mix together and shape into balls. Roll with flour and
brown on all sides.
SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE
6 tbsp. brown sugar
'/4 tsp. ginger
'/z tsp. garlic salt
'/a tsp. dry mustard
2 tbsp. cornstarch
'/z tsp. salt
Mix together:
1 cup vinegar
1 cup water
6 tbsp. catsup
1-10 oz. tin crushed pineapple and juice
Mix together and then blend in dry ingredients. Add
meat mixture to pan and boil until thick. Simmer about 10
minutes. Can serve with rice. Freezes well.
