prospects the Stratford Festival, like

faces in. the foreseeable future
Thanks in part to this publicity our
supporters have responded gener-
ously to our membership and fund
raising efforts in. 1981 (this year(.
The Province of Ontario has created
an ARTS CHALLENGE FUND
whereby the Province will match

dollars for every new dollar we
receive The new money will he
used by the Stratford Festival to
eliminate its current deficit positron
with arty balance going to our
endowment fund The matching
monies from the Province of
Ontario will go directly into the
endowment Lund the income from
which will be used to defray any
operating losses in future seasons
