To older people Huronview still has the - stigma of "poorhouse" as some are unable to meet the expenses there and in other nursing homes. The Day Care Cen- tre's objective is to keep peo- ple in their own homes as long as possible with trained personnel from Home Care and the Victorian Order of Nurses. They can use volunteers fromall over Huron County. The Centre also has a Stroke Recovery Centre at a cost of $5.00 per day with a meal and transportation is reasonable.
