This past week, Dave
Weary, gained two more vic-
tories to lead level one.
Kirk Lyndon started off
Babe season with two wins and
a loss to top off level two.
Barry Page played a
strong game against Jim
Kingsley to pick up his first
win this season.

in 7.-2 victory
The Goderich' Oldtimers
scored three goals in the
second period and rolled to.a
7-2. win over Clinton in
exhibition play here Sunday.
Goderich 'scored twicein
the first period to hold a 2-0
lead, outscored Clinton 34 in
the second period and added
two goals in the final period
to ice the win.
Harvey Livingston led the
Goderich offence with three
goals and one assist. He
scored the first two goals, of
the game and completed his
hat trick in the final period.
Buck Million, MacDonald,
Lee and Don Moss scored
one goal each for Goderich
Larry. . Powell 'scored both
Clinton goals.
. The Goderich Oldtimers
will play games every
Sunday beginning at 8 p.m.
at the Goderich Arena. On

Sports enthusiasts are
reminded that beginning
today (Wednesday) the
Sports Travelcade van
begins a three-day stay in
Goderich.
The Ontario Sports
Travelcade van will be at the
Ron Feagan Memorial
Grandstand for three
evenings from6.30 to 9 p.m.
The . Sports Travelcade is
from the Sports and
Recreation Branch of . the
Ministry of Culture and
Recreation and aims at
promoting amateur sport
and fitness in the com-
munities it visits.
For viewing and listening
there is a wealth of sports
films available and slide
shows are run continuously
on several projectors. The
Sports, Travelcade is also
equipped with a color
television monitor, video
cassette recorder player and
VTR porta-pac camera unit.
The Travelcade contains
information on almost every
sport and the attendants will
be glad to direct you to'in.-
formation on any sport, any
aspect of coaching or
playing, refereeing,
techniques • and almost
anything: The van is also
equipped with a bilingual
library, but the books may
not be taken out during the
three-day visit.
While the. Travelcade is a
mobile sports resource
centre, the -staff will also
hold several clinics in
Goderich during the three
days.
A volleyball clinic will be
held Wednesday, October 21
from 8 to 9.30 p.m. at Vic-
toria School and a basketball
clinic will be , held at St.
Marys school from 9.15 to
10.30.p.m. the same evening.
On Thursday the staff will
conduct a cross country ski
clinic from 7 to 9 p.m. at
Victoria Public School.
The 45 foot van resource
centre will be parked in the
grandstand parking lot and
will be open until 9 p.m. for
three evenings.

The GDCI cross country
team ran against stiff
competition, over a difficult
course, in wet weather last
Wednesday in Exeter, but
still had some good results.
Debbie Mitchelmore
finished second, continuing
her string of strong per-
formances this season.
The GDCI midget girls'
team came fourth overall,
led by Charlene Taylor's
sixth place finish., The
midget boys' team was
seventh. Andrew Carruthers
was the first Viking to
complete that race, with a
tenth place finish:
