auxiliary
holds tea
The Huronview Auxiliary
had a very successful tea in -
the auditorium on Sept. 30
and administrator Wayne
Lester opened it at 2 p.m.
with a speech of welcome.
Mrs. Jean Griffiths looked
after the register at the door
and Mrs. L. 'Lockhart, the
president, mingled with the
guests.
The bake table in charge of
the Clinton W.I. had a nice
display of baking and
vegetables donated by In-
stitute members and. others
interested in helping the aux-
iliary.
The Blyth W.I. looked
after the kitchen and
donated the lunch for the tea
tables.
Mrs. C. Archibald and
Mrs. F. Powell -poured tea
while Mrs. Mary Clairmont
and the Goderich ladies
served the tea and the lunch.
Mrs. Leila Johnston and
Mrs. Mabel McAdam sold
tickets on a draw. A cushion
was won by Mrs. Hazel
Parker, a pair of pillowcases
by Mr. E. Edwards and a
basket of apples by Mrs.
Sybil Palmer.
There was a large display
of crafts from the craft room
for sale and tickets were be-
ing sold on a nice quilt.
The auxiliary wishes to
thank all who helped to make
the auturnn tea a success.

Round
'n About...
• from page 10A
purr-rrs a lot and rubs his
face against you - and comes
a -bounding when you whistle
for him. He already seems to
know what you say and is
very obedient.
A few weeks ago I began to
worry - he was making the
doggondest Mir -rows and
wails - and I knew he . was
growing up in more ways
than size. His VOICE was
changing. And he was good
at defending his milk bowl
since he was still eating
outside.
With the bad weather I was
really torn because the boss
hadsaid "he can't come in!"
1 knew he was right but since
he sleeps until noon usually -
I would let poor Mr. Cat
come in. He was very well
behaved but I was worried
because he was becoming a
Mr. and I didn't know if I
could trust him in the house.
Iast week I coaxed him
into the car and took him for
a ride - to the Vet's. He
yowled and cried for half the
way, then settled down
beside tile and didn't talk
any more - even was good
when I carried him into the
building. He spent a day or
so there where he received
good care, shots and an
operation.
I haven't been able to coax
him into the car since -. I
wonder why!?
Anyway, this big beautiful.
affectionate, gray, tabby,
who will stay home nights
and be a companion is
looking for a home. Your will
love him -Ill miss him but
I'll know he's ok.
lave, Martha.
