Bill Sproul was the caller. Eldon ,Cban utey was in charge assisted by Walter Marchl, Donald Haines, Glen Webster, Douglas Chamney, Murray Rourke, Stephen Campbell and James Schneider. Door prize winners were Lois Haggitt, Mrs. Riley, Elaine Brown. Turkey win- ners were Cecil Pollock, Aileen Trommer, Theresa Mi11Pr Aileen Trommer, Doris McClincheyi, Jewel Plunkett, Cecil Pollock, Mary Robinson, Bill McWhinney, Nellie Burkholder, Allan Brown, Shirley Glousher and Glenyce McClinchey. Special share -the -wealth winners were Nadine Scott, Gordon nohie. Eleanor Bradnock, Elaine Brawn, Jewel Plunkett and Kay Laframboise. There will be another bingo on December 5 so come out and help the Auburn and District Lions Club with their projects for community betterment. Mark 60th anniversary The family of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey West of Goderich celebrated their parents 60th wedding anniversary Saturday, October 3 with a family dinner at the Bedford Hotel. Two sonsand three daughters, Howard West of Wawa, Terry West of Ottawa, Miss Grace West and Mrs. Jacqueline Mills of Etobicoke and, Mr, and Mrs. Norman Durst of Bennliller attended. Mr. Wests two brothers and their wives and his sister, Mrs. Switzer from Oakwood were present. The Wests moved to Goderich two years ago and while both were plagued by ill health, they' are locking forward to a winter in Florida. They received many floral tributes,, cards, cablegrams and telegrams from their many friends. Julie Sowerby, niece of the groom, made the two beautiful wedding cakes. for the anniversary, with one be- ing two large bells and the other two large . hearts ar- ranged with a picture of the bride and groom cutting their wedding cake on their wedding day. Pictures taken at their wedding and pictures of the bride and groom in their Childhood years added to the entertainment. The complete bridal party was present for the anniver- sary and they, along with the parents, brothers and sisters and family of seven children and one son-in-law, arranged this special event which was almost a complete surprise. Mr. and Mrs. Sowerby thanked those who arranged the party and the many relatives and friends who at- tended for making this such a memorable event. A special thanks for the many gifts received along with the flowers, cards and best wishes. Friends in Colborne and district join in extending best wishes. Council has outline five alternatives ranging from tearing the old arena down and not replacing it, to fixing the trusses at a cost of $100,000, to replacing the arena at a $900,000. The floor and cooling system is also in bad shape and would cost $150,000 to replace.
