Total cost for the project is
$500,000 with $250,000 to be
raised by local donations. No
provincial funding is
available. "We are fortunate
to havea fairly young staff of
doctors at Alexandra Marine
& General Hosp ita l who were
trained on new equipment,"
said Mr. Dempsey; "they
have here a horse and
buggy."
Dr. Hollingworth gave a
'short slide presentation to
stress how extremely
crowded the present
facilities are. He also defined
"intensvie care" situations
and described equipment the
hospital staff hope to obtain.
r In explaining the importance
of the ICU, Dr. Hollingworth
pointed out that in the past
three years up to and in-
cluding 1980, eighteen
percent of all persons ad-
mitted to the hospital first
went to the ICU. "The ICU is
as vital to the community as
the police and fire depart-
ments," said Dr.
Hollingworth, "without it the
hospital is like a wheel
without a centre. "
Kinsmen Vice -President,
Ron Blue, spoke to the
members about the Ronald
MacDonald House project.
This is to be a home in
Toronto for adults whose
child is a patient at the Sick
Children's Hospital. The
home is especially intended
for parents who are too far
from their own home to
commute, or who cannot
afford other ac-
commodation. MacDonald
Restaurants are the main
sponsor of this home, with
considerable assistance
from Coca Cola Ltd Kin-
smen Clubs in Ontario have
been chosen to assist by
selling a double stereo L.P.
record set entitled "Lookin
Back, 50's & 60'st'. The
records are excellently
produced featuring original
hit songs by such stars as the
Everly Brothers, Jan and

reasonable ten dollars, and

Private

campaign
Plans for a media cam-
paign to celebrate Private
Property Week in Huron
County were announced
today by Paul Zurbrigg,
President of the Huron Real
Estate Board.
The week-long celebration,
being held October 4-10,1981,
throughout Ontario is
sponsored by the Ontario
Real Estate Association and
its 48 member real estate
boards.
Operating under the theme
"Preserving the Spirit of Our
Land", Private Property
Week is designed to reaffirm
the rights of Canadians -to
own, use, and enjoy private
property. "Those rights are
slowly drifting away,"
commented Zurbrigg," and
ordinary citizens are losing
rights without even being
aware of it."
Our Canadian heritage of
rights and freedoms is a vital
concern, Zurbrigg. added.
"We invite all the citizens of
Huron County to join with us
in our activities and our
