Pirates eliminated in finals by powerful Kingsbridge team
Port Albert
news
Tom Lirovingstone,
correspondent.
529-7645
Kingsbridge has
eliminated the Port Albert
Pirates in the finals. Tues-
day it was Kingsbridge 9,
Port Albert Pirates 6.
Thursday night in a real
close contest, the Pirates
went down to defeat 7-6, to
the powerful Kingsbridge
team.
This concludes the softball
seast,n for 1981. It has been a
good year for the Pirates.
They had a great deal of fun
during the summer in 1980
when they were just a
mediocre team. This year
they reached the finals, win-
ning throughout the season
$345. With a record such as
that, we doubt if the
manager's position- is in
jeopardy; however, there
will be a meeting shortly to -
finish any old business that
may be on the agenda and to
no doubt discuss plans_ for
the Spring of 1982.

championship. Runner-up
