Herb Alton and Tom's par-
ents were the late Mr. and
Mrs Tom Webste% of Clin-
ton. They have two daught-
ers, Mrs. Wm. (Ettabelle)
Bradley of Goderich and
Mrs. Ken (Lois) Thomas of
Willowdale.
Mrs. Olive Blake was able
to enjoy a day away from
Wingham Hospital on Sun-
day to help son, Jim and Ute
Blake celebrate their wed-
ding anniversary at Benmil-
ler Inn.
Steve Caesar returned to
his home on Friday from
University Hospital, London,
where he has been a patient
since being involved in a
motor cycle - car accident on
July 11 in Midland. He must
return each week day for
therapy, and will require
more surgery on his elbow in
the near future. His sister,
Jan, accompanied him to
London on Monday for his
first therapy.
Congratulations to Mr.
and Mrs. Patrick Melady
(Doris Naylor), who were
married in Knox United
Church, Auburn on Satur-
day, September 19. Many' in
our area will remember Doris
as her mother is the former.

Nee have just returned from
a beautiful 15 day bus tour of
the Maritime provinces,
sponsored by Hanover
Tours. Their driver was John
Cox and their gracious host-
ess was Irene Price. They
visited in Quebec, New Brun-
swick, Prince Edward Island,
Nova Scotia and Cape Breton
and finished up their tour in
the New England states of
Maine, • Vermont, New
Hampshire and New York,
where they saw the largest
granite quarry in the worad,
called The Rock of Ages.
Bessie reported beautiful
weather all the time they
were away. Points of interest
they saw were the Magnetic
Hill and reversing falls in
New Brunswick, Peggy's
Cove, Nova Scotia and the
Cabot Trail in Cape Breton.
Jack and Evelyn Errington
have returned from a two
week visit with Evelyn's
cousin, Herb Culbert, of
Lloydminister, Saskatche-
wan, who celebrated his
100th birthday recently. He
resides with his daughter,
Mary Allison. In 1,980, Mr.
Culbert travelled here to
Dungannon to attend the
Culbert reunion. They also
visited with friends in Mel -
fort, Radville, Regina and,
Gladmar, as well as Mrs.
Margaret Murray, nee Riv-
ett, who resides in Saska- •
toon. -
Mrs. Bessie McNee and
Mrs. Mary Bere visited on
Sunday with their niece,
Mrs. Dorothy Johnstone of
Londesboro, who recently re-
turned home from surgery in
hospital at London. '

Rev. Wilena Brown of

the 126th anniversary of
Dungannon United congre-
gation. She spoke on, Into
the Future with God.
In the children's story she
introduced two ' puppets to
help the children understand
the special significance of the
day. .
The children's choir sang.

. Mrs. Ettabelle Bradley has
placed two beautiful flower
arrangements in memory of
her grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. Herb Alton. Mr. and
Mrs. Thos. Webster had
loaned an arrangement sent
to them from British Colum-
bia by their granddaughter,
Alice Bradley, for their 58th
wedding anniversary.

staff welcome back Mrs. Lois
Tebbutt, previously a teacher
at Brookside Public School
for six years, who has re-
turned from a year's matern-
ity leave and is now teaching
grade two and three. Mrs.
Tebbutt and her husband.
Wayne, live at R. R. 2,
Clinton, with their beautiful
baby boy, Fraser, who is
eleven months old. She at-
tended the University of
Western Ontario and then
Althouse College of Educa- Q'
tion. Mrs. Tebbutt enjoys
skiing and other sports, as
well as looking after her son,
Fraser.
The playground equip-
ment is thoroughly enjoyed.
The students would like' to
thank the Students Council of
last year; the Dungannon
Kinsmen Club. the Dungan-
non 125th anniversary com-
mittee, the people of the area •
who donated time, material
and equipment, also Greg
Wilson, , Jennifer Drennan
and David Allen, who helped
to build it. A special thanks
to Jim Laidlaw who supervis-
ed construction. It is hoped
that the pupils at Brookside
will continue the safe usage
of the creative playground.
The Students Council elec-
tions were held on Friday.
