Richard Hawley of Knox United Chrtrch, Auburn, was assisted by Rev. John Roberts of Belgrave in conducting the ceremony. Douglas Ross of Listowel played the chordovoie and was accompanied by 'Bill Hamilton of Listowel on the electric guitar. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold E. Cook who gave her in marriage. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. William Denny, RR 1, Gowanstown. Maid of honor Sharon ,Cook of London, sister of the bride, and the Bridesmaids were, April Cook of ' RR 1, Belgrave, cousin of the bride, and Sheery Verbeek, Westfield, friend of . the bride. Jackie Cook of RR 1, Belgrave, a cousin of the bride, was flower girl and the groom's nephew, Todd Denny, RR 1, Gowanstown, was ring bearer. Groomsman was Kenneth Denny of RR 1, Gowanstown and two brothers of the bride, Jeffrey Cook and Bradley Cook of RR 1 Belgrave, ushered the guests. A buffet luncheon at the bride's home followed the Ceremony and an evening reception was held at Blyth and District Community Centre. Guests attended the wedding from Etobicoke, Toronto, Acton, Beeton, Thamesford, Woodstock, Seaforth,. Stratford, Arthur, Palmerston, London, Wingham, Aubtirri., Blyth, Clinton, Gowan'stown, Sheffield and Paris. Honored guests were the groom's maternal grandmother, Mrs. Pauline McEachern of Listowel, his paternal grandfather, Alvin Denny of –PAG RR 1, Gowanstown, his great aunt, Mrs. Gladys Elliott, Arthur, and his great uncle, and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Denny, Acton; also the bride's great aunts, Mrs. Walter Cook of Blyth, Mrs. Thomas Mackie and Mrs. Slatter of Thamesford. After honeymooning in Northern Ontario they are residing at RR 1, Gowan- stown. The bride is a 1980 graduate of the Registered Nursing Assistants Training Centre, Wingham. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Denny Mr. and Mrs. Rob Maaskant Tour Europe Clinton Christian Refor- med Church was the scene of a summer wedding Satur- day, August 22 at which Lori Keller of Goderich and Rob Maaskant of RR2 Clinton exchanged vows and rings. The Reverend Marvin Barz of Berea -by -the -Water Lutheran Church in Goderich performed the ceremony. Also taking part in the service was Dr. Remkes Kooistra, University of Waterloo campus ministry. Lori is the daughter of Ken and Shirley Keller, 198 Widder Street, Goderich. Rob is the son of Mrs. Anne Maaskant, RR2 Clinton. Maaskant farm. V. Pocock in Trinity Anglican Church, Blyth. The attendants were the bride's sister and brother, Dorothy and Stuart Robinson. . Mr. and Mrs. Augustine made their home in Blyth un- til 1953 when they took up residence in Burlington. Their son Gerald and daughters, Lois Miller and Doreen Gable and families had planned an "Open House" reception at St. Mat- thews Anglican Church, Burlington to mark the golden anniversary. Unfor- tunately, the sudden illness of Mr. Augustine curtailed the gathering and only im- mediate members of the family visited with him at Joseph Brant Hospital on the '-afternoon of July 25., Other relatives and friends gathered at the Augustine apartment on Regency Court to offer .congratulations and show their esteem for the couple. • Among the many calling or sending messages were members of Lakeview Eastern Star of which .both Mr. and Mrs. Augustine are long-time members; also friends from St.: Matthews and relatives and friends from distant points. Besides the many cards, flowers and gifts, a •con- gratulatory message and plaque was received from the Hon. William Davis, Premier of Ontario. Mr. Augustine remains in hospital and his many friends wish him a speedy recovery.
