So let's hope this weather continues until after this Saturday at least, as all members who have 12 regular games in their league will be playing their playoff round. If you haven't signed in for your tee -off time, please do so right away. Last Tuesday, men's night Sept. 8th, Stephen. Durst had low gross of the night, with Don Fink winning low net and Issy Bedard winning closest to the pin. First flight winners were: Leroy Bedour, Ticker Mero and Bill House; second flight went to . Jack Gould, Ron Stanley and Al MacDonald, while Ray Cook, Cliff Ken- nedy and Pete Tiechert were third flight winners. Remember men to sign in or call the pro shop for Men's Field Day Sept. 20th. Breakfast at 10 a.m. and golf to follow. On Thursday night, Verna Kane, Della Bedard, Joyce Bolton and Shirley Baechler were the first flight winners; second flight went to Marj Smith, Joan McDougall, Thora McCabe and Mary Lynne Telford; third flight went to Rosemary Arm- strong, Chris Reeve, Grace Sale, Dorothy Bogie, Isabel McDonald and Marilyn Graham; while Ruth Bushell, Diane Little, Joyce Scott, Bunny LeBlanc, Pat Wilkinson and Betty Fuller were fourth flight winners. Ladies! - this week will be our auction; also the points for the year are tabulated and posted up in the pro shop - and remember our closing dinner for ladies' night is Oc- tober lst. Sunday, Sept. 13 was the closing Two -Ball this year, which included a pot luck dinner and prizes for everyone: The. top winners of the day were: Shirley and Paul Baechler; Chris. and. Brian Reeve; Stan and Mary Lynne Telford and Ellen and Stan Connelly tied. This group would like to thank Dorothy and Mel Bogie for doing such a great job looking after the Two- , Ball functions this year. Congratulations to the team of Paul Baechler, Stan Connelly, Bob McDougall and John Shaddick who won the Pere Dawson zone golf tournament in Vineland on Sept. 7th. Paul also won low grossfor the day ,as well as closest to the pin. Also congratulations to Pete Tiechert who was a prize winner at „ Seaforth recently. The winners were John and Verna Kane and the runners-up were Dave Cornish and Marilyn James. The scotch thistle winners were Dave Cornish and Marilyn James with runners up Stan and Doris Paquette. A. roast pork dinners was then enjoyed by all and Fred Looker showed movies of the Couples Invitational. September 8 was Ladies Niaht and 28 golfers, com- peted. Winners were: first flight, Shellagh Sully, Hazel Beaver, Doris Paquette (putts) ; second flight, Joan McDougall, Edna Looker Jean Hanly (putts); third flight, Bertha McGee, Marilyn James (putts); fourth flight, Pat Tyndall, Joanne Jasper, Joyce Shack (putts). September 11 was Men's Night and the top three winners were Randy Hugill, Bob Cousins, John Kane. Draw winner was Izzy Bedard. Bridge Club The Goderich Bridge Club had eight tables in play last Tuesday night. The average score was72. Gord Rutledge and Rick Somers were first of the East West side . with 96 points, second was the team of Mary Donnelly,and Eleanor Erskine with 3' and third were Edna Goderich players help Clinton Colts to win Three Goderich men helped Flemings Clinton Colts capture the O.B.A. Senior C crown on the Labor Day weekend. Mike Wildgen recorded two victories, beating Tillsonburg 5-4 on Saturday morning and Campbellville 9-6 on Sunday morning. Casey Wildgen and Dave Patterson combined for a 14- 6 victory Saturday afternoon over IUY and Casey lost 4-2 to them on Sunday. I[JY scored four runs in the eighth inning to end Casey's scoreless innings at 13. On Monday, in the cham- pionship game, Don MacDonald recorded a 4-3 win over IUY.
