The Bulldogs chipped away at the lead throughout the' game but were unable to overcome the eight -run disadvantage. The final score was Meneset-12 . and Bulldogs -9. Before the third and perhaps final game, the Bulldogs said their strategy was to try to shut down Meneset in the first two innings. That is exactly what they did. In fact, it was a scoreless tie at the end of three innings. In the fourth, Ron Hodges and Gerry Rosendale, for the Bulldogs, led•off with walks. Subsequent base hits by Brian Good, Gary Nicholson, Jim Durnin; -Alex. MacDonald, and Keith Good led to six" runs before Meneset could put them down. Meneset came storming back with three runs in the fifth and one run in the fourth and sixth to narrow thescore to 6-5 going into the seventh inning.
