For Terry the hurting is past. It was a challenge,
it was a triurr. iph. A vision of rare spirit and
courage. Bu l the Marathon of Hope was more
than just the dreaming and doing of one
exceptional Min. It was the first long stepto
finding a 'cure fbr cancer.
• September 13 is the first annual•Terry Fox,
Run for the Marathon of Hope. Only you can
make it a succei;s. Thousands of cancer victim
lie in'Canadia 11 hospitals. They need your help,
your strell'grri-, your stanlina, 'Si= ability tO
organize. The Run consists of 10 km courses to
be set up '»n ont the country. Principals,
can organize their school, PTA's, tennis,clubs,
anyone can organize Write your Provincial
" Terry Fox office for ail application on which to
fill in location and details of your run. Upon
acceptance of the application, you will receive a
kit containing everything you need to organi'ze.
Application s must, be in by August 15.
The Terry Fox RI in is not a race. It is a
continuation of the fi( lilt against cancer through •
the Marathon of Hop( begun by Terry Fox. Run,
walk, jog. Take as nuhor as little time as you
