Open Friday nights 'till 9 p.m. Wed ars Fordwich Fordwich United Church was decorated with ferns, orchids, glads and mums on August 8 at 6 p.m. for the wedding of William Roy Wallace and Janis Lynn Ruttan, both of Fordwich. The groom is the son of Mrs. Dorothy Wallace of Goderich and the late Dr. John Wallace. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anson Ruttan of Fordwich. The Reverend T.H.- Fleetham of Fordwich of- ficiated at the traditional ceremony. Mrs. William Walker was the organist and Miss Cathy Gibson, soloist, sang Follow Me and Through. the Eyes of Love The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a gown of celiste jersey, styled with an empire' waistband, pleated skirt extending into a cathedral train, Queen Anne neckline and floral guipure lace, full bishop sleeves. A Juliet cap held her three-quarter length appliqued veil and she carried an arm bouquet of red roses with baby's breath. Matron of honor was M Megan McKay of Van- couver, B.C. She wore a turquoise satin gown with sweetheart neckline trim- med in lace and an empire waistband. She also wore a wrist corsage of small talisman tea roses with baby's breath. Bridesmaids were Mrs_ Garfield Gibson of R.R. 1 Fordwich, sister of the bride and Miss Shelley Gibson of R.R. 1 Fordwich, niece of the bride. Mrs. Gibson was gowned the same as the matron ofhonor and Miss Gibson wore an off -the - shoulder cream gown with turquoise eyelet print. Both wore the same wrist cor- sages. Groomsman was Greg Reynolds of Calgary, Alberta, friend of the groom. Guests were ushered into the church by Jim Wallace of Goderich, brother of the groom and Jack Ruttan of Fordwich, brother of the bride. Ringbearer was Ryan Ruttan of Fordwich, nephew of the bride. Following the wedding, a reception was held at the Howick Community Centre, Fordwich. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace will reside in Fordwich. Niagara Falls honeymoon North Street United Church in Goderich was the scene of a pretty summer wedding on July 25 at 7 p.m. when E. Bruce Hough of Clinton and Sandra Dee Nivins of Goderich were unitedin marriage. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Nivins of Goderich and the groom is the son of Mrs. Mary Hough of Clinton. The Reverend Robert 0. Ball officiated at the double ring ceremony and music • was provided . by the organist. The bride and groom 'walked down the aisle together. The bride wore a • white crepe street length dress with white lace shawl. She wore mauve baby's breath • in her hair and carried a silk bouquet of mauve and pink glads with morning glories. Maid of honor was Eunice Batkin of Clinton. She wore a mauve' street length dress with matching vest and carried an open -armed bouquet of fresh mauve glads and white ,baby's" breath. Bridesmaids were Karen Juantzi of Clinton, Freda Hill of Bayfield . and Bonnie Mathers and Bev Walsh, both of Clinton. They were gowned.the same as the maid or honor and carried the same bouquets. Groomsman , was Greg Bird of Goderieti. The bride's 'mother greeted guests wearing a street length silk dress in colorsof autumn and cocoa with a .yellow carnation corsage The groom's mother assisted -wearing a street length blue crimplene dress with a pink carnation cor- sage. Friends and relatives attended from Goderich, . Clinton, St. Thomas, Kit- chener, Port Hope, Toronto, London, Mount Forest and Marton. For a wedding trip to Niagara Falls and a Thousand Island cruise in Kingston, the bride changed to a white dress with a mauve o rebid corsage. Mr. and Mrs. Hough . will reside in Clinton. Prior to her wedding, the bride was feted at showers held by her friend Karen: Juantzi at' the home of Mrs. Harold Juantzi ; by her aunt, Mrs. Ruby Pickard at . her home in Clinton and by her friend, Mrs. Beverly Walsh at.her home in Clinton.
