In the opener, McGees
jtunped to a 4-0 lead and
barely hung on - to defeat
('auada..Company 6-4. In the
first inning. • Paul Kelly
singled and scored on Rick
Sower'by's double. Suw'erby
then scored on brother Ron'S
double.

single and Ken Daer threw a
four -hitter as McGees
blanked Canada Company 6-
0.
McGees opened the
scoring in the first when Ron
Klages singled and scored on
Sowertiy's .home run. They
added one unearned run in
the second and went ahead 4=
0 in. the sixth -when Spitzig
doubled' and scored on
Daeissingle.
.They rounded , out the
scoring in the seventh when
Paul Kelly and Wages
tripled and Rick Sowerby
singled. Meanwhile, Daer
had Company batters baffled
all night, allowing four
singles. Leading McGees
were Kelly, Klages, Sowerby
and Spitzig with two hits
apiece.
Lakeport
goes two upJ
on Gord's
RBI singles by Wayne
Doak and Ron Corriveau in
the seventh inning. erased' a
5-4 Gord's Sports lead as
Lakeport Advertising beat
Gord's 6-5 to go up two
games to nonein their best of
five Industrial Fastball,
League semi-final series.
Lakeport ,opened the
scoring m the first on RBI
singles by Simon Langlois
and Rick Duckworth, They
added two more in the third
on Arnie Parker's, two -run
single. Gord's rallied to tie it
in the fourth with a bases -
loaded walk to Jim Ginn and
a sacrifice ' fly by -Myles
Murdock that ended up
scoring three runs.
They went up 5-4 in the
seventh when Jon Ginn and
Dave Scholl. singled and
Dennis Williamson reached
base on an error. Lakeport
then rallied in the seventh
when Duckworth doubled
and scored on Doak's single.
Following a single to Len
Kolkman, Doak scored on
€orriveau's single to win the
game. Leading a 13 -hit at-
tack for Lakeport was Bill
Gallow with three singles
while Greg Hansen,
,Langlois, and Duckworth
had two hits. Williamson had
two hits to'lead Gord's.
In the ° opener, Iangois
threvi' a four -hitter,
finked in .a run to lead
'.Lakeport to a 2-0 win over
Gord's.
Lakeport opened the
scoring in the third when Bili
Gallow reached base on an
error and scored on Arnie
Parker's double. Parker
then scored on Langlois'•
single. That was all Langlois -
needed as he allowed only

Atlas ' for cyclists
A bicycle touring atlas for
southwestern Ontario has
„been published, .by' ' the
Ontario Cycling Association.
The atlas describes three
trails.
Every mile of the'\\trails
was covered by. s er
students working the
ministry of cultur and
recreation's Exp rience
grant program.
The first route in the atlas '
takes you from Windsor
along the Lake Erie .shore,
through Niagra Falls to
Toronto. The second starts in
Windsor and goes inland
through Chatham, London
and Elora to Toronto. The
third route starts in Sarnia, '
meets ,the central route in.
Stratford and continues to
Toronto.
The scale is so large that it
even shows important stands
of trees. The authors say it is
impossible to get lost. The •
text mentions places of in-
terest, campgrounds and
bicycle shops as well
The book is available 4,p
