reunion held in Wingham
The; 41st annual McInnes =
Falconer reunion was held
on _ Sunday, July 12 at the •
home of John and Marie
McInnes in Wingham with an
attendance of 88.
In the afternoon,. games
were enjoyed :by, everyone,
after which lucky draws
were . won by Mary Helen
Hohenadel, George McInnes,
Terry Weber, and Karen
McInnes. -•
A display on the McInnes
family history; which is
• being compiled by. Anne
McInnes,• created con-
siderable interest
throughout the afternoon.
A' delicious smorgasbord
supper was followed by a
'short business session and a:
moment's silence in memory
of those who have passed
away.

A highlight of the af-
ternoon was the attendance
of some newly -found cousins
from the Guelph, Cambridge
and Fordwich areas.
Next year's reunion will be
held at the same location on
the second Sunday in July.
Goderich Township
Council issues 13
Thirteen, building; permits
were issued when Goderich
Township Council met in
regular session July 6.
Joe Zendiak received a
Permit to build a storage
shed; K. Vanden Heuvel to
demolish a barn; Alfred
Weis to build a storage shed;
Leslie Redwood to build a
car port; Sally . Bird to
'demolish a barn; Denis
Wooley to build a sununer
cottage; Gysbert Van-
derhaar to build a furnace
room; Francis Cantelon to
build a granary; Hans
Dvinge to build a storage
shed; Armand Favalaro to
demolish a cottage andbuild
a cottage; Tom Flynn to
build. a green house; and
Evert Ridder to build an
implement shed.
General accounts totalling
$61,201.25, including $31,000
for the road superintendent
payroll, were ordered paid
by council.
Mr. Bondy and Chris Kiar
were present at the meeting
to discuss a ,proposed sub-
division on part lot 33, 34,
concession -1. Several
suggestions made by council
were accepted by Mr. Bondy
and are to be incorporated
into the said agreement,
after the 'township solicitor
studies the agreement. The
zoning by-law, as prepared
by the. Huron Planning.
Department; was accepted
and drafted into by-law
number 13. The manner of
sending the $100 circulating
fee and the manner of
delivering the zoning by-law
to the adjacent owners were
left to the clerk.
Lloyd Sowerby , was
present at the meeting to
clear up the question . of
whom he was directly
responsible to in the
caretaking. of the ball park.
Council referred this matter.
to the recreation committee.
• Mr. Doucette was present
to ascertain the possibility of
getting his building permit
for his house (lot 39, con-
cession 9). This matter was
left to the building inspector
who is toidetermine when the
barn is operational.
The Goderich Hospital
Board was represented at
the meeting by Mr. Dempsey
and Gerry Ginn who
reported on the proposed
building program at the
hospital. Council deferred
any action on the matter of a
,donation until their July 20
meeting.
Council passed a motion to
hire A. Makins to operate
and oversee the water works
system on Plan. number 29
with a water rental fee of $50
per year being set for cot-
tages using water from this
system for the year 1981 and
with • the rate being set each
year hereafter to be due on
June 1 of every year. Any

By-law number 11, 1981, a
by-law to establish a tile
drain debenture on one
owner for a total of $1,500,

By-law number 12, 1981, a
by-law to govern the use of
land and structures on part
lots 33, 34, concession 1, was
given three readings and
passed.
A tile .drain loan ap-
plication was made by
Robert Smith for a total of
$4,400 on lot 26, concession 11
and council passed a motion
approving this application.
Don Lobb was present to
protest the allocation of costs
assessed to him for . the
repairs done on the Forbes
dram. Council passed a
motion that he be charged
$100 for direct benefit and
that the balance be pro -rated
over the entire drain.
A number of revisions to
the township insurance
policies were made with the
clerk to contact F. Cowan
Insurance and have these
increases made on the
respective policies.
Mr. Kelly of the Ministry,
of Housing presented a plan
of sub -division on lot 20,
concession 1 with a request
that the township comment
on the plan. Council passed a
motion stating that the plan
does not meet with approval
as presented and that the
following changes should be
made: 1. that the park
dedication is not acceptable;
2. that the walkway between
lots 16 and 17 should be in-
creased to a 66 foot roadway;
3. that the well should be
shown as a Block; 4. that a
development of this size °
should have a suitable ac-
cess to the beach.

approved for Ray Ginn and
William Trick.
The Huron Planning
Department submitted a
detailed zoning plan for
Harbour Lights Con-
dominium. No motions were
recorded regarding this.
A petition signed by a
number of people requested.
that clean-up action be taken
at Leeside Park, especially
at the beach. This was
referred to the recreation
committee in care of Jake
Reder for investigation and
report.
Four tenders were opened
for the supply of two dif-
ferent culverts. Due_ to the
variation in quotes, the road
superintendent was In-
structed to contact the 'low
bidder of Armco at $2,992
and $2,249.10 and also the
Department of Tran-
sportation and Com-
munication for more in-
formation before any action
is taken.
The meeting was then
adjourned until July 20 at 8
p.m.
