An old-fashioned wedding
took place in the presence of
family on Saturday, April 25
when Janice Kathleen Glen
and Michael Riidtard Miller,
both of Kitchener, ex-
changed vows in their quaint
ftvingroem..
The. bride is the youngest
daughter of Kathleen Glen of
Goderich and the late Hugh
Glen and the groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
Miller of Galt.
The Reverend A. Eustace
of Kitchener officiated at the
double ring ceremony.
The ride was given in
marria'e by(her uncle Alex
Glen, in memory of her
father. She wore her
mother's satin wedding
gown fashioned with a
flowing bustle and stream-
lined satin buttoned sleeves.
She also wore her mother's
string of pearls Silk baby's
breath entwined with pearls
lined the back curls of her
Irak and she carried a bridal
bouquet, array ged on an
ivory lace fan, ofsilk lily -of -
the -valley flowers and
salmon colored roses.
The bride's sister, Jean
Ray, was matron *honor.
She wore her own tee -
quarter length green velour
wedding dress styled with a
tan leather belt and a cor-
sage of silk sahnon colored
roses.
The groom wore 'a beige
pin-striped three piece suit
with matching necktie, ivory
bandlcerchief, white carr-,
nation boutoniere and casual
fabric shoes.
The groom's brother,
Glow Miller, was best man.
He wore a grey threepiece
stat with a black vest and a
white carnation boutonniere.
The bride's she -year-old
nephew, Cedric Ray was the
ring bearer. He wore a white
Spanish shirt and navy blue
pants with a white conation
boutonniere and tan. suede
shoes. He carried the
eternity rings in a salmon
colored satin box.
After the champagne
toasting to the bride and
groom's happiness, a cold
buffetmeal waspresented.
A reception followed at the
Conestoga Ino where the
bride's mother greeted
guests wearing a full-length
coral gown and a corsage of
matching silk roses.
The groom's mother
assisted wearing a full-
length. American Beauty
sleeveless gown with a
corsage of deep red roses.
During the reception, the
bride slippedaway to change
into a sislk lilac colored dress
which she wore with her
ivory linen wedding shoes.
Guests were present from
Goderich, Seaforth, Strat-
ford,
tratford, Woodstock, Kitchener,
Waterloo, . SI Catharines,
Toronto, Cambridge, Oak-
ville.,

Prior to the wedding, a

given for the bride and

Lorna Leafloor, 49, of RR
3, Brussels, was heading
north on Main Street when
shecrossed to the west side
of the street, where
McLaughlin Chev-Olds
parking lot is situated, and
struck a car, pushing it into
three others. She then
reversed her vehicle across
the road onto to a nearby
lawn and struck a tree. She
then recrossed the road and
hit another car on
McLaughlin's lot, causing it
to hit two others. A total of
seven cars were damaged.
No was ;injured in the
accident, but the driver was
charged with driving a
. motor ` vehicle while im-
paired by alcohol or drug
under Section 234 of - the
Criminal Code.

Communion was observed
at Huronview on Sunday
morning and in the afternoon
the Radar Circle Legion of
the H.tstorical Automobile of
Canada "HASC" toured into
Huronview and residents
had the opportunity of view-
ing cars from the year 1929
to 1964. Among the cars on
view were Oldsmobiles,`
McLaughlin Buicks, Model A
Fords, Dodge and Chevs.
The cars came from Staffa,
Clinton, Blyth, Goderich,
Varnaaand Seaforth.
During the afternoon the
Seaforth Legion members
were on hand to honor Jim
Racho with a 45 year pin,
and Andy Houston who
received an 18 year member-
ship card. Also on Sunday

residents go an

LUCKNOW - Eighteen
residents of Pinecrest Manor
Nursing Home went on a
wheel-a-thon for the Ontario
Heart Foundation, June 23.
The residents raised $28 in
pledges. Half the proceeds
are to be given to the Heart
Foundation and the
remainder goes for resident
activities at Pinecrest.
The Lucknow Girl Guides
and the Piitecrest staff
assisted the residents on
their wheel-a-thon, which
ended at the Superscoop Ice
Cream Parlour were
everyone enjoyed a cool
treat.

day party was held in the
new auditorium for Jean
Scott. The past Noble Grand
was on hand to celebrate
Jean's birthday and to serve
cake and ice cream.
We received a very
generous invitation from
Blyth Summer Festival
Theatre to join them on
Thursday evening to view
the play "Quiet In The
Land". Mr. Bissett, Miss
Currie, Mrs. Apfe, Miss Mit-
'.shell, Mrs. Ross, Mrs.`; Peck,
Mrs. Garrow, Mrs. Gibson,
Mrs. McAllister, Mr. Steel,
Mr. Lewis, Miss Scott. Fill-
ing in for Mrs. Prouty at Bi-
ble Study was Mr. Eizenga
who spoke on Luke 15, The
Prodigal Son.
Sympathy is expressed to
the family of n Margaret
Jackson. Huronview would
