The gallery, which is open to the general public from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday to Saturday, is located behind the box office - of the Blyth Summer Festival, accessible from the baSement of the hall,. There , is no admission charge. The first exhibit of the summer runs from July 3 to The pupils of M. Zablocki, Clinton recently held their annual ballet recital at Clinton Public School. Natalie Sully of Goderich was one of the Goderich performers in the recital and was also the recipient of a diploma. Other diploma recipients were Angela Alcock and Jo -Anne Taraba of Goderich and Jayne and Amanda Snell of Blyth. Kulyk's work concentrates on "vibrant colburs that create strong contrasts of plains and patterns. "After a decade of serious commit- ment," says Kulyk, "I feel fluent enough to change con- fidently the colours of or- dinary perception to ones that better express my own particular reaction." Kulyk also repeatedly used the recurrent theme of doors or. windows framing the colour- ful excitement of a garden to give structure to her pain- tings. The exhibit is organized and circulated by the Art Gallery of Ontario Extension Services and is made possi- ble by a grant from the On- tario Arts Council. The second exhibit in the main -gallery will consist of the work of local artists hi a juried exhibition and will run from July' 20 to August 29. Another local artist, Brian Cere of St. Helen's will have his work featured in an ex- hibit in the second floor lob- by of the new addition to Blyth Memorial Hall from July 3 to August 29. Mr. Cere's subject matter ranges from landscapes to human interest, and is ex- pressed in both colour and black and white and in .a variety ofsizes. The Art Gallery is a part of the Blyth Summer Festival, and runs in conjunction With the five play season of *the Festival.
