The award will be of interest to graduate physiotherapists wishing to proceed to a tiasterrerDoetor-al-degreb in Physiotherapy and will be tenable for the academic year 1982-3. The Fellow will be chosen by an IODE Com- mittee ommittee of Selection in con- junction with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Psyiotherapy is primarily directed toward the preven- tion or alleviation of move- ment dysfunction in people, either congenital or due to aging. accident, injury, disease. or psychological or social stress. As the popula- tion continues to age, there will be an increasing need for the services of these health care professionals, and since there is very little funding available at the post- graduate ostgtraduate level, the IODE in- stituted its Fellowship in Physiotherapy. The annormcement was made at the 8lst annual meeting of the National Chapter held at the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City from May 2&31. Annual reports indicated that a record $1.3 million was ex- pended in the educational and service work of chapters throughout the country. Three lttundred delegates representing 15,000 members in all 10 provinces and the Territories heard an- nual reports from all the departments, attended workshops, and participated in a `Great Expectations' Conference which featured each Provincial Chapter's IYDP plans. 79' PLUS A Bic '1 irl'i li' Rofior Pen dIMITV NATURAL LEATHER BILLFOLD 100nil p•NeCV 396.4319 classic sign&design INGARDIf\I $1 5 9 Attractively Gift Bored 9 Q tong, -tasting and thoughtful gilt idea' EE EC ATfens mu TRLQERtl CRITS C WtfG TF66QIMG COM rev nr 7E9 rvirOAE-C1 cAnsErs RI ECK PIIarLy 1Q 300mi , I PLUS1001 f 7tG"4. ss-t-v. eu en's, ketE'T'EWS, ars: MarxvIALAILE cr ALL LaclrCNs SHOPPERS SQUARE, GODERICH OPEN ALL DAY WEDNESDAYS 524-7241 Delegates of Ontario Porks an Recreation s e :e crouton ELCQ E E ICH
