Maurice Miltenburg, who
.has been in hospital in
London for the past several
weeks following a motorcycle
accident, was able to spend
the weekend with his par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Reis.
Miltenburg and family. It is
very pleasing indeed to see
Maurice rapidly improving
after such serious injuries.

tended the twenty-fifth anni-
versary celebration of Father
Henry Cassano, Parish Priest
at Listowel and Hessian on
Saturday evening. The event
was held at the Kinsmen Hall
in Listowel. Father Cassano
is a former priest of St.
Joseph's, Kingsbridge.
A new teacher at St.
Joseph's school has been
hired to replace Mr. Gary
Prince, who has renlred. She
is Miss Mona Doher from
Leamington.
Three high school students
have been hired to organize
the summer playground at
Kingsbridge. They are Fran-
ces VanRooy, the leader; and
Diane Miltenburg and Kath-
leen Foran.
Jackie Dalton has been
hired as a swimming instruc-
tor at the Lucknow Swim-
ming Pool for the summer.
Grades 'two to six at St.
Joseph's school presented a
"Spring mini -concert" in the
school gym on Friday after-
noon, May 29th. They were
under the guidance of their

The program opened with
grades two, three and four
singing three songs, followed

The Recreation Centre in
Holmesville was a busy
place Saturday evening with
the Clinton Hospital Dance.
Everyone enjoyed dancing to
Lincoln Green. Lunch was
served to endthe evening.

Conference was held in

Blake, who attended, in pres-
enting the report of the
week's activities, which Mr.
Cowan called Conference

Grouj and their leader,

ed the earth bed • for the
planting of the new shrubs at
the front of the church. The
UCW and Donna Alion prov-
ided the new plants and
shrubs and Lloyd Hodges
and Jack and Jeff Alton
removed the old shrubs.
,While preparing the bed, a
sealer of memorabilia, plac-
ed in the ground by a CGIT,
group some vearc ago, was
unearthed.

The Regional Field Day
was held on May 28 at
Brookside. The winners from
our school were senior girls'
winner, Janice Cook; runner-
up, Wilma Vandervelde;
in-
terinediate boys's winner,
Leroy Dougherty; junior
boys's runner-up, Scott Ha-
ckett; midget girls' winner,
Kim Tyler; runner-up, Don-
na Raynard. All the first
place winners received a
medallion.
Mrs. Wilson has accepted
the position of Primary Co-
ordinator for the Huron
County Board of Education.
starting in September. She
will be helping primary stud-
ents and teachers in the
county. Congratulations,
Mrs. Wilson.

grades five and six with Mrs.

or. Maybe the show was too
late for this year but at
least we were made aware of
the upcoming styles for next
Easter!
An operetta "Peter Rab-
bit" was staged by grades
two, three and four with
Michael Bowler acting the
part of a very active "Peter".
The program ended with
songs sung by grades five
and six. The students then
served refreshments to their
parents and friends attend-
ing the show.
Mr. Dave Zyluk, principal
at St. Joseph's Community
School, has accepted a teach-
ing,position in Yellowknife,
N.W.T., Mr. Zyluk will be
greatly missed by the .stud-
ents and the many friends
and acquaintances he has
made in his five years of
teaching at this school. •
