Mayor wants to combat criminal acts EXETER - The opening of Exeter's police station was more than just a official celebration, it was also a time for serious thoughts and challenges. Mayor Bruce Shaw said it was time to tell the law makers and enforcers that a change was needed to combat the criminal acts confronting society. He made reference to the "disgusting" aggassination attempt on Pope John Paul 11, noting that it was enough to make people cringe and throw up their arras and ask what the world is coming to. "It's time for per- missiveness to end," Mayor Shaw stated in reference to lenientcoartsentences. The new class will be at St. Aloysius School in Stratford, effective September 1, 1981. The board has two special education classes now ® one in Perth County at St. Michael's School in Stratford and the other in Huron Counts ty at St Joseph's School in • Clinton. In other business at the Meeting held Monday night, the board agreed to rent a portable classroom to ac- commodate the additional classroom at St. Joseph's School in Stratford. While many schools will show a declining enrolment when school starts in September, St. Joseph's is increasing.
