The Thursday Night winners are, front row from left, Pat White, most improved, Lee Ryan, high single, Shirley Beier, high single; back row, Several individual Wednesday Night Mixed bowlers were awarded at a league banquet May 16 at the arena. In the front row, Bob William had high average, Dave Denomme had high triple, Al Pennie had high single; in the back row from left, Judy Lewis was most improved, Ruth Ann Brennan had high triple, Willa Bogie had high single, and Cathy Connolly had high average. (Photo by Cath Wooden) Teachers complete course Twenty-five women teachers from Huron County have completed a six-week Professional Growth and Self -Development Course. This leadership course was promoted and sponsored by the Women Teachers' Association of Ontario. The three and a half hour ses- sions were held at Victoria School, Goderich Very qualified speakers covered a range of topics. They included "Com- municating with Others", Assertiveness Training", "Time Management", "School Law", "Family Law' , "Wills", "Investments", "Parliamentary Pro- cedure", as well as "Make- up and Dressing for the Pro- fessional Woman". The teachers were given certificates at a graduation dinner at the White Carna- tion last week. Guests for the evening were Mr. D. J. Cochrane, Director of the Huron Board of Education, Mr. R. Allen and Mr. R. Mc- Call, Superintendents, Mr. D. McDonald, chairman of the Board, Mrs. Marion Zinn A six-week course in Professional Growth and Self -Development was recently sponsored in Goderieh by the Huron County Women Teachers' Association. Left to right are Nessie Moore, past governor of Ontario Teachers' Federation (OTF) and past director of the Federation of Women Teachers' Assodtion of Ontario (FWTAO) who helped, start the course and acted as advisor; Verna Kane, chairperson for the course and status convener; Marjorie Freeman, president of the Huron County Women Teachers' Association; and Doris Harrison, second vice-president of FWTAO and governor of OTF who helped start the course and act at advisor.
