The scripture lesson, St. Luke 24: 1-12, was Falconer replies Dear Editor, Having received the April '15th issue of the Goderich paper two weeks ago late from a friend, I still wish to reply to Shirley J. Keller's remarks pertaining to me in Dear Rea ders. I do not have a very low opinion of all press reporters but the last two years 1 Was on Tuckersmith . Township Council, to put it mildly, I had a lot of trouble with the reporter and it only takes one rotten apple to spoil the bushel. I don't think any press reporter should take sides on any issue and it was my opinion that the press reporter mentioned was trying to do everything possible so the addition to Vanastra's recreation centre for the handicapped .would not be built. I made a motion \requesting that the local paper be informed that we " (council) were not satisfied with the press reporter and requested that she be replaced. The motion was never seconded. I know that this in- formation got to some of the papers • but was never printed. Some press reporters could care less about fair- ness and whether the people have both sides of the story. They are only •there for the Money and the good book says that money is the root of all evil. • • • One reason I left Tuckersrhith Township Council was that I • didn't ' wish to go back unless there was a different press reporter. If some of the papers in Huron County are crying the blues because I am on the Board of Education, all I can say is you made your beds, so you can sleep in them and if some board members want to kiss the press reporter's foot three joints up, I don't. As long as I am a board member, I am willing to call the issues as I see them in an open meeting and not after the meeting is over and I am going out the door. I am looking forward to seeing the more complete coverage of the board meetings and please tell the ratepayers the names of the boar m rnbcr s who do not say a word. Sincerely, V rank e alcon%r. read by Mrs. Sim Schneider. The meditation from the Liv- ing Message was read alter- nately finishing with the story about the boy who didn't play baseball.
