has received a plaque for
being the club in the district
with the greatest increase
Lodge holds
dessert card party
Goderich Rebekah Lodge
held its annual dessert card
party and bake sale on April
29. Noble Grand Sister
Dorothy Barker and Vice -
Grand Sister Jessie' Beach
received the guests. Overall
convener for the event was
Grace Fuller.
Margaret Bowra was con-
vener for cards with 24
tables of euchre, 500 and
bridge played. The prizes for
euchre were: high, Mary
Fregehan; low, Laura Fitz-
patrick, most lone hands,
Hazel Doherty; prizes for 500
were high, Cora Caesar, low,
Belle Badman; and prizes
for bridge were high, Joan
Huyck, low, Vera Larder.
A draw was made for three
baskets of groceries. The
draw was convened by Elva
Osbaldeston. Winners were
Ila Crozier,. and Elva
Gauley, both of Goderich
and Jean Cook of RR2
Goderich.
A large display of baking
was well patronized with
Ada Fritzley as convener.

Myrtle Paterson made her
official visit. A banquet was
enjoyed before the meeting.
The D.D.P. Sister Verna
Thomas also made her of-

belongs to, has 'raised
;800,000 for local and world
Rotary work in . the past
year.
The Famous • People
Players, the best blade light
theatre group in North
America, is coming to
Goderich on June 6 for an 8
p.m. performance at
G.D.C.I.
The performance is being
sponsored by the Goderich
and District Association Mr -
the Mentally Retarded and
the Goderich and District
Pro Life group as an
International Year of the
Disabled project. It is not a
money -making project but if
any money is raised, it will
go toward the nursery for
handicapped children at
Vanastra.
Tickets are available from
the lottery booth in Suncoast
Mall for $3 per person. They
are selling fast so get yours
soon.

Kincardine Annual Art Show
and Sale October 16, 17 and
18. Interested artists from
Grey, Bruce and Huron
Counties are being asked to
participate. There will be
sections for both painting
and photography.
