initiated into the Masonic
order during the course of
the evening.
With approximately 75

people present at the
banquet and 104 at the
meeting, one of the largest
attendances in many years
was recorded.

Mike Carter of Clinton was
the first prize winner of a gas
barbecue in the Huron Fish
and Game Association's
lucky draw held April 18.
Barry Davis of Vanastra
was the second prize winner
of an Edwards gun case.

The Goderich Rotary Club
reports that a profit of
$500.50 was made on their
recent paper drive, making
it their best yet. The Club
would like to thank all those
people who assisted with the
drive and all those people
who contributed papers.

It was reported in this
newspaper last weekthat the
new tennis court at St.
Joseph's School in
Goderich Little Theatre's last production of the season is
entitled "How the Other Half Loves". It opened Tuesday
night and runs until Saturday night. In the dining room

MacKay Centre news
Mackay Centre for Seniors
held a card party Wednes-
day, .April 22. The high man
for euchre was Rod Bogie
and the high lady was Mona
Wilson. In 500, Helen Oke
and Percy Blundell were the
winners. Bridge winners
were Harvey West and
Marcella Courtney. Follow-
ing the card games, lunch
was served by the commit-
tee in charge.
The ceramic toilet set that
was donated by Norma's
Ceramics, with the tickets
donated by Bill Clifford Real
Estate, was won by
Catharine Wilson. -The lucky
ticket was drawn by Bill Clif-
ford. The board wishes to
thank the people who worked
selling the tickets on this set,
making it a successful pro-
ject.

bingo on May 8, a dance with
John Farrish from Listowel
supplying the music on May
13 and a card party on May
27. These events all start at
7:30 p.m.
