(Photo by Cath Wooden) Wins chocolate bunny The playground committee of St. Joseph's Community School held an Easter draw for a seven pound chocolate Easter Bunny on Wednes- day, April. 15th. Bill West- brook of Port Albert was the winner and the ticket was drawn by Father Ed Dent- inger. Mike and Betty Lou Dalton and family. sunrise Service held on hill Mrs. Barb Norman welcomed nearly 80 children and adults to the Special Easter Sunrise Service held on the top of the Holmesville hill at 7:30 a.m. on Easter Sunday. Hymns of praise were sung, verses of scripture were read and children and adults assisting in the ser- vice included - Tracy Nor- man, Nancy Thompson, Shelley Crawford, Robin Lobb, Steven Prescator, Tim Mayhew, Tammy- - Smith, Heather Harris, Lisa Forbes, Travis Bell, Jackie Norman, Greg Lobb, George Oake, ` Sherri Prescator, Stacey Haines, Shari Lobb, Wanda Abbott, Julie Rutledge, Sandra Lobb, Shannon Prescator, Kristen Crawford, Greg Crawford, Greg Rutledge, Lori Forbes, Nancy Lobb, Bonnie Bell, Laurie Lobb, Grey Mayhew, Heather Lobb, Jim Crawford, Kerrie and Kelly Watson and Janine Mayhew. After the service everyone went to the church and en- joyed a delicious breakfast of eggs and bacon. The sanctuary of Holmesville Church was beautifully decorated with daffodils, Easter Lilies and pussy willow for the regular Easter worship service. Brenda Harris, Marty Lobb and Donna Martin sang a special song to a large con- gregation. Mr. Scott told the children that on this day we no longer feel that Jesus is dead, this is why we have a church and Sunday School. He thanked the children for a beautiful basket of eggs they had decorated and filled with jel- ly beans. He told them he would give them to some Senior Citizens. For his sermon Mr. Scott chose "I think we have something to celebrate" and Elmer Potter and Doug Nor- man received the offering.
