The minutes were adopted as read by the village clerk, Mrs. Ross Dobie. Prices were reviewed on redi-mix cement for sidewalks and also ' on the pole for the light at Man- chester Garden. Dogs are on the loose again in the village and this matter was brought up. Dog tag prices are going up again. The renovations to ' the town hall and library were discussed and the trustees will try to get some help through grants that may bee available �. George Collins was pre- sent and stated that there was trouble with the drain down the side of the hill. The study theme.. was taken by Mrs. Eleanor Brad - nock on the mission work done in the Philippines with the famous slogan, "Each, One - Teach One". The minutes were ac- cepted as read by the secretary, Mrs. Lillian Letherland. The financial statement was given by the treasurer, Mrs. Frances Clark. An invitation to a Goderich • W.M.S. meeting was ac- cepted and it Was announced that the Fordwich United Church Choir, under the leadership of Mrs. Ron Livermore, would present an Easter cantata on Sunday evening . in Knox United Church at 8 p.m. The roll call was answered by a Bible verse containing the word "Risen". • The -offering, was received by Jennifer Stadelmann and dedicated with prayer by Mrs. Sanderson. Lunch was served by Mrs. Letherland. Silver Tops Forney -eight members of the Silver Tops enjoyed a hot roast beef dinner last Wednesday at 12:15 p.m. The president, Ross Robinson said Grace and the dinner -wasserved- by -Mrs:Tom.. Haggitt; Mrs. Donald Haines, Mrs. Tom Lawlor, Mrs. Emerson Rodger and Mrs. Reg Shultz., After dinner all' enjoyed the films, "Stompin' Tom", "Beaver Valley" and "The Leader Dog" . which the Lions Club use for their pro- ject Walkerburn Club • The Walkerbu ` Club held its 'monthly meeting last Week at the home of Mrs. .Manfred.Losereit.. A bake and craft sale was held with Mrs. Leonard Ar- chambault as auctioneer. • Plans were made to hold the next meeting April 28 at the home of Mrs. Roy Daer. The program will be in the charge of Mrs. Keith Lapp and Mrs. Ted Husking. The lunch will be in the charge of Mrs. Roy Daer and Mrs. Ronald Gross. Mrs. Leonard Archam- bault gave two readings. Lunch was. served by Mrs. Keith. Lapp, Mrs. Ted Hunk- ing and Mrs. Losereit.
