Marie Park correspon The newly formed, youth group held a very successful euchre party at Brookside on Thursday evening with 15 tables in play.,High man was Grant Curran, Maxine Maize was high for the ladies. Lucky draw winner was Simon Logtenberg. This same group had a successful bottle drive on 'Saturday netting over $100. Harold Menary is the leader Of this group. It is intended to rotate offices among the members. Barry Smith will be the first president. It was reported in last week's column that Tom Webster was a patient in St. Joseph's Hospital and com- ing along well. Weare sorry . - to report that on Tuesday. Tom suffered a massive blood clot. On Friday evening a bingo was held at the Agricultural Hall with a good crowd. Regular game winners were Winnifred Girvin (2), Laura King, Isabel' Kilpatrick (2), Jean Brown, Joe Wright, •Betty McBride and Dorothy Eliown.—DOTothy Brown and Isabel- Adams each -won share the wealth game. Anh Feagan won the $50 jackpot? • The door prizes were won by Todd Park, tow rope donated by H. Brindley auction and a 4 litre window washer' donat- ed by Snyder's Garage was won by Carman Pollock. Mr. and Mrs. Del Cook of Holmesville visited on Sun- day with Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Cook and Kevin. • Willie and Linda Hubbard and family of Auburn visited Mrs. Lynn Wall and family on Sunday. On Sunday a few people from our village travelled to. Blyth to watch ' a benefit broomball game between the CKNX • Try Hards and the Belgrave Ladies Co-op team of which Joan Riley and Vicki Park are members. There Were plenty of laughs and good sports to raise this money for the Scott family of Belgrave wholost thei(- home by' fire recently. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Fallis and Sarah of Palmerston visited with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Robson and dent 529-7719 family on the weekend. Fran " and Gail Huber, Michael and Connie called on the Bill Park family on Satur- day evening. Freeman and Bertha 01- ston have returned from an 8,000 mile, five week trip in January and February. They visited with friends and rela- tives in Manitoba and North. Dakota, then travelled south to Texas and then east to Florida. They found the roads and weather good all the way., Dungannon United Church Mr. George Cowan spoke on the topic, "Why Worry, God is in Control".
