The newly formed, youth
group held a very successful
euchre party at Brookside on
Thursday evening with 15
tables in play.,High man was
Grant Curran, Maxine Maize
was high for the ladies.
Lucky draw winner was
Simon Logtenberg.
This same group had a
successful bottle drive on
'Saturday netting over $100.
Harold Menary is the leader
Of this group. It is intended
to rotate offices among the
members. Barry Smith will
be the first president.
It was reported in last
week's column that Tom
Webster was a patient in St.
Joseph's Hospital and com-
ing along well. Weare sorry

to report that on Tuesday.
Tom suffered a massive
blood clot.
On Friday evening a bingo
was held at the Agricultural
Hall with a good crowd.
Regular game winners were

from our village travelled to.

Belgrave Ladies Co-op team
of which Joan Riley and Vicki

money for the Scott family of

Freeman and Bertha 01-
ston have returned from an
8,000 mile, five week trip in
January and February. They
visited with friends and rela-
tives in Manitoba and North.
Dakota, then travelled south
to Texas and then east to
Florida. They found the
roads and weather good all
the way.,
Dungannon United Church
Mr. George Cowan spoke
on the topic, "Why Worry,
God is in Control". The choir
sang the anthem, "Me Look-
- ed - Beynnd -My i -Faults", -.•to
the tune of Londonderry Air.

ers meet at the church on
Monday evening. Two items
on the agenda are: election of
officers and discussion Con-
cerning .an Easter supper.
The manse committee
meeting has beempostponed
to Friday afternoon, March
13 at the manse. • =
- An initial meeting for all
those from both churches
who are considering joining
will be held in the -Dungan-
non Church basement on
Wednesday evening. Anyone
is welcome to attend even if
you are already • a. church -
member. A .good cross-sec-
tion of teenagers and adults,
confirmed and ,unconfirmed„
sould make the meetings

contest at .the Lucknow Leg-
ion on Friday, February 27.
She will go on to compete in

the captains helped the seas-
on to riin Smoothly. In the
girls division the captains
were Janice Cook and Wilma
